Welcome back to Day 2 of the €100,000 Super High Roller as at least 21 players out of 34 entries return to the felt here at the beautiful Monte-Carlo Sporting.
The biggest buy-in here at the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour presented by Monte-Carlo Casino®️ has seen some of the biggest and best high-stakes players come and join the battle, and more are expected to return with maybe some new entries even as the registration period remains open until the start at 12:30 p.m. local time.
Marius Gierse won $432,000 last month in Cyprus during the Super High Roller Series and proved his poker prowess in the live poker tournament scene too. Gierse will take his seat today with a narrow chip lead of 1,000,000 as Kent Staahle bagged 997,000 last night. Completing the top five are Sam Greenwood, PokerStars ambassador Sam Grafton, and Mikita Badziakouski.

Action will resume in the America's Room with blinds at Level 9 with a small blind of 3,000, a big blind of 6,000, and a 6,000 big blind ante. The level duration will remain at 60 minutes and play is expected to go on until the final table has been reached.
On Day 3, the final table will be broadcasted on the PokerStars YouTube and Twitch channels on a 30minute security delay with hole cards coverage.

The flop read with around 95,000 in the middle already.
Kent Staahle checked from under the gun but Christoph Vogelsang bet 23,000 from the hijack. Staahle responded with a reraise to 75,000 which Vogelsang called.
They both checked through the on the turn to the on the river. Staahle took a few seconds and then led out with a bet of 50,000. Vogelsang took his time, sat up straight after about 20 seconds, and then flicked in the chips for the call when his time had almost ran out.
"Do you have a pair?" Staahle asked.
"I do," Vogelsang replied.
Staahle tabled the for Vogelsang to show to the for his pocket pair to make a full house with the cards on the board to scoop the pot.

Byron Kaverman raised it up from early position and Sam Grafton defended from the big blind. The flop came and Grafton checked to Kaverman who continued for 28,000. Grafton called and the landed on the turn.
Grafton checked again and Kaverman checked it back to the on the river. Both players knuckled the table again and Grafton showed for sevens and fours. Kaverman turned over for kings and sevens to scoop his first pot.

Daniel Dvoress opened to 14,000 in early position and Juan Pardo three-bet to 32,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Dvoress who shoved all in and Pardo called off his stack of around 150,000.

Pardo was looking for an ace to stay alive but the flop provided no immediate help. The on the turn and the on the river also bricked out, sending Pardo to the rail.

Seth Davies raised to 15,000 from the hijack and the action folded to Ben Heath in the big blind. He took some time and then three-bet to 50,000 for Davies' turn to consider his options. In the end, he opted to shove with the bigger stack. Heath called for the 229,000 he had in front of him.

The board ran out for Heath to hold with the rockets to double up with and leave Davies behind with a mere 21,000.
On the next hand, Davies pushed those chips in from the middle position and Christoph Vogelsang called from his direct left while the rest folded.

The board ran out for Vogelsang to flop a pair and improve to two pair on the turn to deal the final blow to Davies.

There was some commotion on one of the tables as there was a three-way all-in. Pascal Lefrancois was the shortest with 90,000 in the middle position, Laszlo Bujtas had 96,000 in the small blind while Kent Staahle had both of them covered in the big blind.

The board ran out for Bujtas to hold with the aces and to even improve to a set on the turn and quads on the river to bust Lefrancois and earn a full payout from Staahle.

Daniel Dvoress raised again from the cutoff and Matthias Eibinger called from the big blind. The flop fell and Eibinger checked to Dvoress who continued for 12,000. Eibinger used a time bank before check-raising all in for 92,000 and Dvoress instantly called.
