Macchiarelli Flops Nut Straight

Patrick Zanone opened the action with an early position raise to 1,400 and picked up two callers before Claudio Tornetta reraised to 6,800 from the small blind. Zanone called, Christophe Larquemin called and Luciano Macchiarelli called on the button.

Four players went to the flop, which came 6♦8♠4♦. Tornetta continued for 11,300 and action folded to Macchiarelli, who moved all in for 12,900. Tornetta called and players flipped their cards, with Macchiarelli at risk.

Claudio Tornetta: 9♣9♥

Tornetta had pocket nines, but Macchiarelli had flopped the nuts with his straight. The turn came the A♦ and the river was the K♥. Macchiarelli held and won the pot. Tornetta tutted and shook his head in dismay.

Martin Lee raised from early position and picked up four callers before Aren Bezhanyan reraised to 5,500 from the big blind. Lee called the reraise, as did Roberto Corbelli and Gael Dirig.

The flop came 4♣10♦Q♥ and Bezhanyan bet 6,200. Only Lee made the call and the rest of the table folded.

The turn was the 8♦ and Bezhanyan moved all in for 22,000. Lee made the call and players flipped their cards. Lee showed A♥J♦ for ace high and Bezhanyan showed 7♠7♣ for pocket sevens.

The river came the 2♦. Bezhanyan won the pot and Lee was eliminated from the tournament.

"Did you expect to win that one when he called?" asked a neutral player. Bezhanyan shook his head.

Molina Catches a Flush to Double Through Uzan

Inaki Gonzalez opened to 800 from middle position and was called by Fernando Molina in the hijack. Mendel Uzan then squeezed to 2,400 from the cutoff and action folded back around to Gonzalez, who called. Molina called as well.

The flop came A♣2♣5♦ and Gonzalez checked to Molina, who shoved for his last 7,300. Uzan went all in for more and Gonzalez got out fo the way.

Mendel Uzan: A♦K♥

Uzan was ahead with a pair of aces, but the 5♣ turn gave Molina a flush and left Uzan drawing slim.

The J♦ river bricked out and Molina received a much-needed double up.

Zeng Wins Huge Three Way Flop All In

Action was on the flop on a board of 10♠8♠3♠ and three players were all in, with Nima Bigdeli the shortest stack and Zhiping Zeng covered by Ruben Moreno.

Zhiping Zeng: K♠7♣
Ruben Moreno: A♠5♣

Bigdeli had a pair of tens, Zeng had a useless king-high flush draw as Moreno had the ace-high flush draw.

The turn came the K♣ and the river was the 9♦. Zeng managed to pair up his king on the turn and held on the river to win the pot and triple up his stack. Bigdeli was eliminated from the tournament and Moreno was left with just 5,500 behind.

On a flop of A♥10♥A♦, Joel Izcara checked from the big blind and Ezequel Waigel bet 1,000 from under the gun. Will Kassouf raised to 2,200 from the hijack and Izcara called cold. Waigel folded.

Izcara then check-called a 4,000 bet from Kassouf on the 2♠ turn and a 10,000 bet from Kaossouf on the J♣ river. Kassouf revealed A♣6♣ for trip aces and Izcara mucked — awarding the pot to Kassouf.

The flop came 4♠5♠J♦. Action checked to Gogniat, who bet 1,200. Gautschi raised to 4,200 and players folded back to Gogniat, who made the call.

Two players went to the turn, which was the 4♣. Gogniat checked and Gautschi bet 7,500, which Gogniat called.

The river was the 5♣. Gogniat checked again and Gautschi moved all in for less than 20,000. Gogniat folded his hand and showed 7♠3♠ for busted flush, straight-flush, and gutshot straight draws. Gautschi mucked and took the pot.
