Joshua James raised to 240,000 before Lucien Cohen made it 700,000 from the next seat over. The rest of the table was out of the way and James shoved with more. Cohen called for 3,670,000 and the cards were turned up.

Ankit Ahuja opened to 210,000 from early position and Dalibor Mijic put in a three-bet to 650,000 from middle position. Ahuja made the call.
The flop came 10♠8♦7♣ and Ahuja check-called a 650,000 bet from Mijic.
Both players checked the 8♥ turn to see the 3♣ on the river. Ahuja bet 700,000 and after about 45 seconds Mijic mucked his hand.
Meanwhile at another table Jose Mesas was recently eliminated.
Frederik Johansen was all in from the big blind and at risk against Sergi Miralles on the button.

Miralles was in front to start the hand, improving to a set of sevens on the 2♥7♥8♦ flop. The 9♠ turn and Q♦ river changed nothing, as Day 1b chip leader Johansen hit the rail.
Jae Kyung Sim moved all in from middle position and saw the action fold around to Mauricio Salazar Sanchez in the big blind, who checked his cards and quickly called.

Sim was looking for help but found none on the 4♣3♦A♦4♠8♠ runout, ending his run as the table broke.
Action folded around to Istvan Varga in the hijack who took a moment to count out his stack and consider his options.
"It looks like you're all in," Parker Talbot joked.
"I'm all in," Varga declared immediately after, pushing forward his stack of 755,000. Talbot called in the small blind to put Varga at risk.

Both players caught a piece of the 8♠A♠3♥ flop, but Talbot's middle set left Varga drawing close to dead with top pair. The rest of the board ran out J♦A♣, giving Talbot a full house to best Varga's trip aces to take down a sizable pot.
Francois Vincenti answered an early position raise from Robert Sanchez Callol by moving all in from middle position. The action folded back around to Callol, who made the call.

Vincenti was unable to find any help on the 4♣2♣4♦ flop and was left drawing dead after Callol found a full house on the Q♥ turn. The 6♦ completed the board, sending Vincenti to the rail.
Fabian Bartuschk opened to 160,000 from middle position and Petros Karadimos three-bet to 500,000. Bartuschk asked Karadimos for a count of his current stack before moving all in for 2,205,000. Bartuschk considered his options for about 90 seconds before sticking in the call to put Bartuschk at risk.

Bartuschk was well ahead with the best possible starting hand until the flop came 10♣9♠6♦ with a ten in the window, eliciting a sigh from Bartuschk who was suddenly drawing to two outs. Those outs never came on the Q♣2♣ turn and river and Bartuschk's run came to an end while Karadimos catapuled up the chip counts.
Gino Cardenas and Emmanouil Asgoudakis were heads up to a flop showing Q♣10♠6♦, with Cardenas leading out for half of the pot.
Asgoudakis announced all in and was quickly called by Cardenas.

Asgoudakis saw the bad news as his pocket kings were behind, unable to improve on the 3♦ turn. Cardenas then made a full house on the 10♦ river, ending a deep run for Asgoudakis.
Daniel Herrera opened to 200,000 from under the gun and Marius Lussi moved all in from middle position for approximately 600,000. Herrera made the call with a covering stack.
