Beresford Challenging For the Lead After Stinging Orpaz
Level 15
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Heads-up on a board of 2♣Q♣10♦8♣, Conor Beresford bet 95,000 from the cutoff and Tom Orpaz called under the gun.
The river came the 7♥ and Orpaz checked to Beresford, who bet another 175,000. Orpaz quickly called and Beresford turned over K♥K♦.
"That's good. Well played," Orpaz said as he mucked, surrendering the pot to Beresford who has narrowed the gap between Orpaz and the field significantly.
