Ketzer Raises Ladva on the River

Felipe Ketzer raised to 2,500 from the cutoff and Ottomar Ladva called on the button.

Both players checked the 7♠5♣4♥ flop before Ketzer led out for 2,000 on the 2♦ turn. Ladva called to see the 9♣ river.

Ketzer then bet another 3,000 and Ladva this time raised to 15,500. Ketzer burned through two time banks before emerging with a raise to 55,500. Ladva quickly folded.

"Chip leader. Congratulations," tablemate Kayhan Mokri told Ketzer.

Zhou Gets Creative, Barsegyan Doesn't Back Down

Heads-up on a flop of 6♣A♠8♠, Eduard Barsegyan bet 1,500 from the button before Quan Zhou, in the big blind, raised to 5,000.

Barsegyan quickly called to the J♦ turn, where Zhou continued with another 11,500. Barsegyan again called and the K♥ fell on the river.

Zhou slowed down and checked, and Barsegyan checked back. Zhou flashed 5x2x for a bluff and Barsegyan took the pot with 8♣7♥ for a pair of eights.

Mokri Learns Never to Bluff Brazil

With around 20,000 in the pot in a blind versus blind battle, Felipe Ketzer bet 6,000 on a flop of 8♥7♦Q♣ and Kayhan Mokri raised to 18,000.

Ketzer called to the Q♦ turn, where Mokri led out with 12,500. Ketzer again called and the 8♣ fell on the river. Mokri then moved all in for around 65,000.

Ketzer snap-called and showed K♥Q♠ for trips. Mokri turned over 10♠9♠ for a bluff and headed off to the registration cage to reenter.

"Don't bluff Brazil," Ketzer joked with him after the hand.

Bensadoun Checks Dark, Dezfooli Shows an Ace

Heads-up on a flop of Q♠7♥6♠, Jonathan Bensadoun bet 7,000 from the cutoff and Seyed Dezfooli called on the button.

Bensadoun checked in the dark heading to the A♦ turn, and Dezfooli also checked. The river came the K♥ and Bensadoun checked again. "Ace," Dezfooli announced as he checked back, showing A♠8♠ to win the pot.

At the other table, Timothy Adams is still hovering around the starting stack, while Kayhan Mokri has reentered.

Dezfooli called to the 2♦ turn, where Ladva continued for 4,000. Dezfooli again called and the 3♦ fell on the river.

Ladva this time fired out 11,000 and Dezfooli gave up his hand.

Erik Seidel and Tom Orpaz just took their seats in the tournament.

Seidel Calls Down Barsegyan In Four-Way Pot

Kayhan Mokri raised to 3,500 under the gun and was called by Eduard Barsegyan in the cutoff, as well as Quan Zhou and Erik Seidel in the blinds.

The flop came 4♣9♣5♦ and action checked to Barsegyan who bet 5,500. Only Seidel called to see the Q♦ turn.

Barsegyan then bet another 11,000 and Seidel again called. Both players checked the Q♣ river.

Seidel turned over 10♦9♥ for two pair, queens and nines, and Barsegyan mucked.

Ladva Bets Out Yu

Ottomar Ladva, Lei Yu, and Jonathan Bensadoun went three-handed to a flop of 9♣Q♣2♦ where Yu bet 4,000 from the hijack.

Ladva then raised to 13,000 in the small blind and Bensadoun got out of the way. Yu, though, stuck around with a call to see the 7♠ turn.

Ladva then put in 28,000 and Yu gave it some thought before mucking.

Daniel Rezaei is the latest player to join the field this level.
