EPT Barcelona High Roller Schedule Kicks Off With €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em at 12:30 PM
PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona is a paradise for poker’s high rollers, with several big buy-in events populating the schedule. The first begins today with €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em at 12:30 p.m. local time.
This event last year attracted a select but elite field of 50, with Francisco Benitez defeating Ramiro Petrone heads-up to earn €341,565 and his second win of the festival. Artur Martirosian, Erik Seidel, and Timothy Adams also made runs to the final table.

The 2023 version of the tournament is a one-day event, featuring 100,000 starting stacks and 30-minute levels. There is a 15-minute break every four levels and a 75-minute dinner break at the end of Level 14 which should come around 8:15 p.m. Players are allowed unlimited reentries, with late registration remaining open until the end of Level 10 around 6:15 p.m.
This is just the first of seven events on the EPT Barcelona schedule featuring a buy-in of €25,000 or higher. A virtual who’s who of the poker world will make their way to Casino Barcelona today, but only one will lift the trophy at the end. Global Poker US Poker Open Series Taking Place August 21 - September 3

The Global Poker US Poker Open is back for a third season and will feature dozens of events in collaboration with PokerGO's US Poker Open (USPO) in Las Vegas.
Through the Global Poker series, which is set to run Aug. 21-Sept. 3, players will have the chance to travel to the PokerGO Studio alongside the world's best high-stakes players. The social poker series will have something for everyone, with everything from super deep stack events to bounty events and buy-ins below GC 99,000 and SC 99.
The series comes after the completion of Global Poker's GOAT V series, which wrapped up earlier this month with "Narcisprince79" and "Slob On Me Knob" winning the Main Events.

"Big Hand, Big Bet" For Mokri

Heads-up on a flop of J♣3♠10♦, Kayhan Mokri bet 2,000 from under the gun and Seyed Dezfooli called in the big blind.
The turn came the A♠ and Dezfooli checked over to Mokri again. Mokri this time fired out 13,000.
"That's a big bet," Dezfooli said.
"Big hand, big bet," Mokri replied before Dezfooli let his hand go.

Yu Four-Bets Barsegyan

Lei Yu raised to 2,500 on the button before Eduard Barsegyan three-bet to 10,000 in the small blind.
Yu used a time bank before he put in a four-bet to 32,000. Barsegyan's cards instantly hit the muck.

Ketzer Raises the Turn

Felipe Ketzer raised to 2,500 from under the gun and action folded around to big blind Kayhan Mokri, who called to go heads-up to the 10♥9♣10♦ flop.
Ketzer continued for 1,000 and Mokri raised to 3,000. Ketzer called and the 10♠ fell on the turn.
Mokri then bet another 3,500 and Ketzer used a time bank before raising to 18,500. Mokri quickly folded.
