Popvic Falls to Akdeniz
Level 8
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Arnel Popovic had already shoved for his last 29,500 on the button and was called by Deniz Akdeniz from the hijack to put Popovic at risk.
Arnel Popovic: 6♠6♥
Deniz Akdeniz: J♣J♠
Popovic was in rough shape against Akdeniz's overpair, and the 9♠5♣7♠J♥4♥ runout kept Akdeniz best — eliminating Popvic from contention.
