Two in a Row for Nguyen
Level 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Huifang Zhang opened 2,000 in early position and both Thi Nguyen and James Mendoza came along in the blinds.
When the K♥9♣5♦ flop hit the felt, the action checked to Zhang who continued for 3,000. Only Nguyen called.
The K♦ paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the 2♥ river. Nguyen fired 8,000 across the line and Zhang snap-mucked.
The following hand, Zhang opened for 2,000 under the gun and Umar Khan called in the cutoff before Nguyen put in a three-bet to 6,500 which was enough to earn the pot.
