Melkisetian Calls Off Against Venckus' Aces

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ara Melkisetian and Eimantas Venckus were heads-up on a board of 5K549 and nearly 300,000 in the pot already when Venckus moved all in from under the gun.

Melkisetian was in the big blind and tanked for a few minutes before calling off his last 340,000. Venckus then showed him AA and Melkisetian instantly mucked his hand and shot out of his seat to make his exit. The dealer retrieved his KQ and showed it to the table before pushing the big pot over to Venckus.

At another table, Tom Vogelsang bet 150,000 from the button on a flop of 459 before Alessio Isaia moved all in from the big blind for 605,000.

Vogelsang asked for a count but mucked before too much time had elapsed.

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

More than 300,000 was in the middle as Andreas Christoforou and Timur Kurbanov went heads-up on a board of 8AJK5.

Kurbanov, under the gun, then slid forward a bet of 100,000.

"One hundred thousand chips. Ace-jack? Ace-king," Christoforou muttered to himself as he tanked for several minutes.

"Sorry guys," he said to his tablemates. "It's a cooler either way," he added before putting in a call. Kurbanov then turned over A8 for two pair, and Christoforou also showed A8 to split the pot.

Christoforou had the chop that pot, but a few hands later Andrzej Marczykowski moved all in for 210,000 in the hijack and Christoforou called in middle position.

Andrzej Marczykowski: Q10
Andreas Christoforou: AA

Christoforou had picked up aces and Marczykowski found no help on the 8554K board to hit the rail.

At the same time at another table, Vladas Tamasauskas was all in for 320,000 from the hijack and up against Vasyl Laba in the cutoff.

Vladas Tamasauskas: JJ
Vasyl Laba: 66
