Iakobishvili Falls to Martirosian

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Gha Iakobishvili was in a heads-up pot against fellow Russian Artur Martirosian on a board of JA923.

Iakobishvili moved all in for 40,000 and Martirosian took some time before calling with a bigger stack. Iakobishvili tabled a bluff with 107 and Martirosian showed QJ to win the pot with a pair of jacks as the tournament broke down to one table.

Iakobishvili Takes One From Greenwood

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

From the cutoff, Sam Greenwood raised to 4,500, and was called by Gha Iakobishvili in the big blind.

Both players checked on the flop 7Q8, but on the turn 10, Iakobishvili bet 8,000. Greenwood called, but he struggled to make a decision when Iakobishvili asked for 17,000 chips on the river 3.

Greenwood needed more time, so he used a time bank, but eventually folded.

While Pedro Marques was eliminated, Zaid Noori in the cutoff was also at risk preflop on the second table. With his 45,500 chips left, he was facing Sam Greenwood on the button.

Zaid Noori: 44
Sam Greenwood: AQ

Noori stood up to see the board being revealed. His pair held on the flop 873, but the Q on the turn followed by the river 5 led to his elimination.

"I Have Quads"

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

While Maher Nouira was explaining he eliminated Artur Martirodian "with aces against tens", Jules Dickerson and Vicente Delgado in a blind versus blind situation found themselves on the river on Q8959 with already 130,000 to the pot.

In the big blind, Delgado announced "all in", and Dickerson snap-called with his last 40,000 chips.

Jules Dickerson: AQ
Vicente Delgado: K2

"I have quads," Dickerson said before he flipped his cards. "I'm kidding," he added when he showed his two pair, which still was the winning hand as Delgado was bluffing.

Nouira Has the Best Pair

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Maher Nouira open to 4,000 from under the gun, and was called three times : by Vicente Delgado on the button, Pedro Marques in the small blind and Artur Martirosian in the big blind.

Even if there were four players in the pot, they all checked on the flop 102J. On the turn 7, everybody checked again to Nouira, who bet 5,000. Delgado called, and he was the only one to do so.

The 6 landed on the river, and Nouira checked. Delgado took this opportunity to bet 12,000, and Nouira quickly called with 108. It was a good call, as Delgado had 99.
