Voronin Catches Semi-Bluff With Threes

Enzo Vito open raised to 1,200, Levente Szabo reraised to 3,400, Konstantin Voronin called and Vito called.

The flop came 2♠8♠6♣. Vito checked, Szabo made a continuation bet for 5,000 and only Voronin called.

The turn was the 5♦. Szabo placed a stack of blue chips in the middle to the value of 25,000, which represented an effective all in against his opponent. Voronin took a minute to think before making the call for 16,700.

Szabo showed K♠10♠ for a semi-bluff with a flush draw and overcards. Voronin flipped over 3♠3♦ for a pair of threes to catch the bluff.

The river came the J♥ and Voronin held to win the pot and double up his stack.

In a blind versus blind confrontation, the pot stood at 3,600 as the full board read 10♣2♦4♥10♥6♥.

Viktor Ustimov, in the small blind, placed an overbet to the tune of 5,500, sending Sebestyen Csoti, in the big blind, into the tank.

Csoti eventually flicked in the call and the cards were tabled. Ustimov showed 9♦3♠ for nine-high, while Csoti scooped the pot with 5♠2♥ for bottom pair.

Ticherfatine was thinking for a considerable amount of time as the two players exchanged a healthy amount of table talk. Eventually, Ticherfatine elected to fold. She showed the table she'd been thinking about calling the jam with 8♥8♣.
