In the last hand before the break, Gerard Carbo jammed for 350,000 from under the gun. Nathan Tetart went deep into the tank, looking at the tournament clock. He used up four-time banks before folding, which confirmed that Carbo would be returning from the break as the big blind, and would have to pay 80,000 (plus another 80,000 for the big blind ante) rather than 60,000.
Tetart folded and the rest of the players followed suit.
