The river completed the board with the K♣ and Liperis barreled out a bet of 3,800,000, which was exactly half of what Wai had left.
Wai dove deep into the tank, looked at his cards, cut out calling chips, glanced at Liperis, looked at his cards again, stared at the board, glanced at Liperis again, looked at his cards for a final time, glanced at Liperis once more, mumbled through the options, and then made the call.
Liperis tabled the A♦9♣ for the turned pair of nines which was enough to claim the pot as Wai mucked his hand.
