Petrangelo and Kamphues Chop a Four-Way Affair
Timo Kamphues, Nick Petrangelo, Tom-Aksel Bedell, and Dario Sammartino all put in some of their chips preflop to create a pot of 50,000. The flop was 7♣10♦9♠ and all four players checked their option.
On the 3♦ turn, Bedell led for 21,000 chips and now all three remaining players decided to call. The Q♥ river apparently scared them, however, as each one knuckled the table to signify a check.
All eight cards were shown down. Bedell could only show ace-high with his missed flush draw of A♦2♦.
"Nine?" Sammartino carefully asked, before tabling his K♣9♥. Kamphues had that beat, however, and showed Q♦J♣ for a pair of queens. Petrangelo had the same holding with his Q♣J♥.
"I'll take it," said Kamphues and the two players chopped the pot while Bedell was lamenting his missed flush draw in this rare multiway situation.
