Chaoui Overbets River, Shows One

A 11,500 pot was brewing between Luigi D'Alterio, Mehdi Chaoui, and Shakhabiddin Muradov. All postflop cards were dealt and the board read 10♣6♦5♥K♦2♣. D'Alteria checked from the small blind to Chaoui in middle position, who overbet for an all-in sizing of 15,700.

Muradov tanked for a while but ultimately ended up folding. D'Alterio quickly followed suit and Muradov instantly let Chaoui know that he folded his king-jack for top pair. In response, Chaoui showed a J♠.

Conor Beresford, who is also at the table, laughed and keenly noted: ''That's a chop at worst!''.

Lococo Pays It Off

Luigi D'Alterio opened from the cutoff to 1,600 and Alejandro Lococo three-bet to 5,100. Pierre Zerbib was in the small blind and cold-called before D'Alterio followed that up with a call of his own.

The trio saw a Q♦A♦4♦ flop and the action checked to Lococo, who put another T-5,000 chip in the middle. Zerbib called once more, but D'Alterio did not like the diamonds and got out of the way.

The 4♥ turn checked around before Zerbib put his remaining 16,600 chips in the middle on the 8♣ river. Lococo thought the situation over for a good bit before throwing in a single chip for a call.

Zerbib showed down K♦Q♠ for a thin value bet and it worked out as his second pair beat the J♦J♣ of Lococo.

Chun Keat Liu Wins One Shortly After Break

On a board of 9♥4♠10♠4♦, big blind Chun Keat Liu had checked to Julien Voinson in the hijack. Voinson made a bet of 10,000 into the already sizable 13,500 pot. Liu responded by clicking it back to 28,000, after which Voinson added his last chips to that bet. Liu snap called and there was a showdown.

Liu had turned trips to outdo Voinson's top pair. No nine appeared on the 5♥ river and Liu took out his opponent and raked in a big pot.

Ruefenacht Makes the Fifth Bet

Pascal Ruefenacht was under the gun and had a single T-5,000 chip in front of him for a raise to an unknown amount, and Daniel Kysoev put in the same chip for a call. Antonino Venneri then made it 8,000 to go from cutoff before Georgios Karakousis put in the cold four-bet to 20,000 from the big blind for his entire stack.

Ruefenacht followed up with a five-bet jam for 41,200 and everyone else folded after some deliberation.

Karakousis was at risk with the worse hand but that all changed on the 8♠A♥6♠ flop. No queen was seen on the J♥6♦ runout, and Karakousis, who is on his third bullet, more than doubled up.
