Cooler Ousts Landron

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Alexandre Landron
Alexandre Landron

Leo Worthington-Leese opened from middle position and Alexandre Landron defended out of the big blind.

The flop of 1096 checked through and Landron check-called a bet from Worthington-Leese on the J turn. Landron checked again on the J river and Worthington-Leese bet. Landron check-jammed and Worthington-Leese called with a bigger stack.

Landron showed AQ for an ace-high flush, but it was no good against the J9 of his opponent for a full house to send Landron to the rail in devastating fashion.

"This game is beautiful sometimes — for one of the players!" laughed Ori Hasson.

Ladev Spikes the River to Double, Goel Heads to the Exit

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Markkos Ladev
Markkos Ladev

Apoorva Goel raised it up from under the gun and Markkos Ladev ripped all for 265,000 from the big blind. Goel quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Markkos Ladev: 88
Apoorva Goel: KK

The flop fell AQ10 and Goel was looking good with his pocket kings. The 10 on the turn changed nothing but it was the 8 on the river that gave Ladev a full house to double up.

Goel was left with just 70,000 chips after the hand and bowed out of the tournament just two hands later against Artur Martirosian.
