Gavrilovich Catches Derwiche Bluffing

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Having defended the big blind against a raise by Jenya Gavrilovich, it was Imad Derwiche who bet the {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} turn for 10,500 and the {5-Hearts} river for another 17,000. Gavrilovich called both times and Derwiche flashed the {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a missed gutshot, which was beaten by the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} of the Belorussian.

Schwecht Doubles Through Kuznetsov

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Nikita Kuznetsov opened to 5,000 and then called the three-bet shove by Tobias Schwecht, who was all-in for the last 24,000.

Tobias Schwecht: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Nikita Kuznetsov: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop vaulted Schwecht into the lead, which he retained thanks to the {2-Clubs} turn and {j-Spades} river.

Neymar Scores a Double Through Theologis

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Neymar Jr
Neymar Jr

Ren Lin opened the action with a raise to 4,500 and received two callers including Neymar Jr. Alexandros Theologis in the small blind then pushed all-in with the largest stack of all players involved, which forced out Lin and the first cold-caller.

Neymar Jr. called all-in for 43,000 and the cards were flipped over.

Neymar Jr.: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Alexandros Theologis: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop gave the football star to a set of nines while Theologis had a gutshot at his disposal, with Lin filming the showdown on his phone. Nothing changed with the {4-Diamonds} turn and the {j-Clubs} river only improved Neymar Jr. to a full house for the double.

"King queen? My man," Lin joked to Theologis, who replied "it's a good hand ... fifty, fifty."

Orpaz Gets a Shove Through; Ustimov Chips Up

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Shimizu Ozomu was in the tank for a medium-sized pot in which Tom Orpaz had already invested a third of his stack until the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} turn. Ozomu then checked and Orpaz pushed all-in for what appeared to be around 55,000.

His opponent didn't ask for an exact count but tank-folded, using two time bank extensions. Orpaz flashed the {k-Clubs} and that left Ozomu with the head shaking.

One table over, Viktor Ustimov continued his charge further up on the leaderboard. He raked in two pots in a row, the latter of which came with a successful continuation bet on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. Derk van Luijk had defended the big blind but check-folded.

Kuznetsov Bad Beats Schwecht

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Nikita Kuznetsov raised it up with a single T-5,000 chip out in front. Tobias Schwecht then three-bet to 11,000 and it folded back to Kuznetsov, who had one 20-second count down vanish. He then pushed all-in and Schwecht instantly called.

Nikita Kuznetsov: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Tobias Schwecht: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board improved Kuznetsov to trips aces and left Schwecht with a severe short stack.

Danchev Scores a Double

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Felipe Ketzer had added further chips with the previous elimination of Dawid Smolka to pull further ahead atop the leaderboard. The next all-in showdown brought a small dip to his growing tower, as the cards of the Brazilian were already mucked.

Ketzer paid off a double to Dimitar Danchev, who had the best of it with the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for broadway on a {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts} runout.

Kulev Back to the Starting Stack

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Alex Kulev
Alex Kulev

On a flop of {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, Pedro Marques in the small blind and Alex Kulev in the hijack got their chips into the middle with the latter at risk.

Alex Kulev: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Pedro Marques: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Both players were on draws with Kulev ahead, who then also improved on the {k-Spades} turn. Marques needed a club to knock out the Bulgarian but the {4-Spades} river was a blank to secure the double-up for Kulev.
