Christian Pederson Eliminated in 8th Place (€103,700)

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

In the previous hand, Toni Kaukua raised from the hijack and faced a three-bet from Pedersen. Kaukua folded.

The next hand, action folded around to Kaukua, who raised to 200,000 from the cutoff. Christian Pedersen put in a three-bet again, this time from the small blind to 700,000. Kaukua didn't want to be pushed around and quickly four-bet all in for a few million.

It turned out Pedersen wasn't playing games. He had a legitimate hand. Kaukua on the other hand was attempting a four-bet bluff to get his opponent to fold.

Pedersen called and players flipped their cards.

Christian Pedersen: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Toni Kaukua: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to give Kaukua a pair of aces. Players around the table looked visibly shocked. Pedersen left the table in a storm, uttering a profanity under his breath that can't be repeated here. Pederson was eliminated in eighth place for €103,700.

Players were still discussing it as the next hand was dealt.

"What you think that was a fish move?" said Kaukua.
