Ketzer and Dvoress Double Through Brewer

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

One hand after the elimination of Ren Lin, Felipe Ketzer was in the single big blind. "I have 490 behind," he replied when Chris Brewer on the dead button asked. The shove by Brewer followed and Ketzer called all-in.

Felipe Ketzer: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Chris Brewer: {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Brewer took the lead on the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop but Ketzer turned the nuts thanks to the {k-Spades}, making the {10-Hearts} river a formality. The double-up of Ketzer was for 530,000 and that put a first dent into Brewer's stack.

One hand later, Brewer jammed the button and Daniel Dvoress called all-in for 655,000.

Daniel Dvoress: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Chris Brewer: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Brewer could all but laugh and joked "I don't understand ... everybody else gets those shoving spots through but I always get called."

The kicker problem was never solved on a {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} runout and Dvoress also doubled.

Brewer stopped the bleeding one hand later when a single-raised pot against Nick Petrangelo saw the latter check-fold on the flop.
