Dowling Puts Goasdoue in the Mixer

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Alan Goasdoue opened to 175,000 from the cutoff before Christopher Dowling three-bet to 625,000. Goasdoue called.

The {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop checked through to the {5-Diamonds} turn and then Goasdoue called a bet of 625,000.

Dowling then jammed for around 2,400,000 on the {6-Diamonds} river. Goasdoue went into the tank for several moments and he apologized to the table.

Dowling called the clock, and as the countdown began, his opponent folded.

Gaye Doubles Through Dowling

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Christopher Dowling opened to 160,000 on the button and Jean Gaye three-bet jammed a stack of 1,450,000 from the big blind. Dowling called with a bigger stack.

Jean Gaye: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Christopher Dowling: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Gaye stayed ahead with the better pair as the board ran out {q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts} to earn him the double as he held his stomach and joked that he was "leaking" from nervousness after getting called.

Ai Guo Xu
Ai Guo Xu

Oleksii Natoptanyi opened the action from the button by raising to 160,000. Jean Labryga flat called in the small blind, and big blind Ai Guo Xu went all-in for his last million chips. Natoptanyi got out of the way, but Labryga called quickly.

Ai Guo Xu: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Jean Labryga: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Things were looking bleak for Xu after the {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop, and the {6-Hearts} turn sealed the deal. {4-Clubs} got dealt as the river and Xu, who started today as chipleader, bows out of the tournament in 22nd place.

Axel Santoni
Axel Santoni

Jean Labryga opened to 160,000 from the hijack and Axel Santoni defended out of the small blind.

Santoni checked on the {9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop and Labryga checked back. Santoni then bet 280,000 on the {10-Hearts} turn and Labryga quickly raised to 800,000. Santoni called.

Santoni checked on the {6-Clubs} river and Labryga bet 600,000 to send Santoni deep into the tank.

"I've got a big hand over here," Santoni said as he thought through a decision.

Labryga called the clock and Santoni eventually called. Labryga showed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a flopped full house while Santoni mucked {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} to show he had trips and the nut flush blocker.

Vieira Put Through a Rollercoaster

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Diogo Viera
Diogo Viera

In a blind versus blind battle, Diogo Vieira limped his small blind, getting a raise from big blind Alan Goasdoue. Vieira got tricky and put in a limp-raise, but that was not enough for Goasdoue, who put his entire stack of 2,800,000 at risk by shoving it all in. Vieira went into the tank for a bit then called.

Alan Goasdoue: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Diogo Vieira: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

{q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts} is what the dealer put on the table, winning the flip for Goasdoue and doubling the amount of chips he has, while Vieira was left with around two big blinds.

Vieira was left with only 175,000, which he got in a few hands later from early position and Roger Taieb called from the small blind.

Diogo Vieira: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Roger Taieb: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Vieira doubled up to still have a shot at victory,

The adventure was not over yet for Vieira however, as next hand he got all his chips in the middle again. This time he went for it from under the gun, and got flat called from Thibault Reverdito in the hijack. Roger Taieb went for blood again by rejamming to 1,800,000. Reverdito folded.

Diogo Vieira: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Roger Taieb: {a-}{a-}

This time the board was {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, cracking Taieb's aces and securing another double-up for Vieira, revitalizing his chances to win.

Axel Santoni: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Oleksii Natoptanyi: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Santoni couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Hearts} to mark his elimination in 21st place.

Vladimir Heinich jammed for 715,000 from the small blind and was called by Blaz Zerjav on his direct left.

Vladimir Heinich: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Blaz Zerjav: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

"Noooo!" Sitbon cried when he saw he was dominated.
