Hallaert Beats Kamphues in Showdown

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Johan Schultz-Pedersen raised it up to 60,000 and was only called only by Piotr Nurzynski in the big blind. The flop brought {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Nurzynski check-folded to a bet worth 80,000.

One hand later, Timo Kamphues made it 60,000 to go and Kenny Hallaert was the one to defend the big blind. They checked to the {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} river on which Hallaert checked the third street in a row. Kamphues eventually bet 85,000 to pick up a call and revealed the {k-Spades}{8-Clubs} for king-high, which Hallaert had beaten with {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the bottom pair.
