Rokita Ousted by Hallaert

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Kenny Hallaert
Kenny Hallaert

Roland Rokita raised to 2,500 and Kenny Hallaert then three-bet to 6,500. What followed was a four-bet shove by Rokita for around 25,000 and Hallaert instantly called to put the Austrian at risk.

Roland Rokita: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Kenny Hallaert: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop propelled Rokita into the lead which he kept with the {4-Diamonds} turn. However, the {k-Spades} river restored the preflop order and Hallaert added to his growing tower.

Sturm Leaves Moene Short at the End of the Night

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Leon Sturm was all in for 25,900 and Jelle Moene was the one to put him at risk. The cards were already turned over and the dealer was ready to go.

Leon Sturm: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Jelle Moene: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} and the aces held to secure the double for Sturm. Meanwhile, Moene was left with just 2,100, but he got it in on the next hand with {q-}{q-} and a few callers for a small pot to stay alive.

Matrai Bad Beats Kim for a Very Late Double

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

All-in for 69,800 preflop, Andras Matrai was in trouble when he got looked up by Brian Kim for a pot worth nearly two times the average in the final level of the night.

Andras Matrai: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Brian Kim: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs} board delivered the ace for a double. Paul Tedeschi pointed at the board to reveal he would have had the best of it and shrugged an "ace seven".

Koiev Eliminated by Bindel

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Towards the end of the night, the action folded all the way to big stack Luc Bindel in the small blind. With just Oleksii Koiev to act behind, the Frenchman pushed all-in and Koiev called for the short stack he had behind in the big blind.

Oleksii Koiev: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Luc Bindel: {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The Ukrainian had the best of it on the {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and {10-Diamonds} turn but Bindel spiked the {8-Diamonds} on the river.

Last Four Hands Announced

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The Day 1b field is already down to fewer than 340 hopefuls as the clock has been stopped with seven minutes remaining in the level. Another four hands will be dealt tonight before the T-100 chips are raced off prior to the bagging and tagging process.

Mulders Bags a Late Double

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Down to just 12,100, Daan Mulders pushed all-in from the cutoff and it folded to David Vedral in the big blind. The ecstatic Dutchman and several other players at the table were on their feet for the final hand of the night with Mulders trying to trash-talk his opponent into a call.

Vedral indeed came along and both players turned over an ace rag.

Daan Mulders: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
David Vedral: {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

The {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop changed nothing much as Mulders loudly demanded for a deuce or trey. One of those wishes came true with the {2-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river indeed let he kicker play.

"At least I didn't play for nothing," Mulders joked after he advanced with fewer than the starting stack on his second bullet.
