Bleiker Wins a Decent Pot Early On

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Joining the action on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} turn with 3,500 in the middle, Felix Bleiker check-called a bet worth 2,900 and then checked again the {3-Spades} on the river. The Swiss checked again and eventually called a bet of 6,500 to win the pot with the {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, as his opponent was bluffing with the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Luc Bindel
Luc Bindel

With 2,300 in the middle to the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Lyudmil Ivanov made it 2,000 to go and was called by Luc Bindel. The {10-Clubs} followed on the turn on which Ivanov bet 4,500 and Bindel called once more.

Ivanov then also bet the {k-Diamonds} river for 10,500 which then saw Bindel shove for 22,400. The Bulgarian tanked for a long time and called with the {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for bottom full house, which Bindel had beat holding the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for queens over tens.

Preflop Frenzy Fizzles Out

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Youssef Mrizeq raised to 500 before Hala Karam called from the cutoff in the next seat over, but John Tabago made it 1,400 from the button and Razvan Belea wanted 3,100 from the big blind. Mrizeq got out of the way and Karam was right behind him into the muck. Tabago called and the action was heads up.

The flop was {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Belea fired 3,100. Tabago thought it over but that was too much and he gave up the pot.

Erez Hen check-raised a three-way turn of {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs} to 9,000 out of the blinds and was called by Jeremias Mendoza and Antonio Buonanno. The {9-Hearts} appeared on the river and Hen checked to Mendoza, who pushed all-in for 18,600.

Buonanno folded after a few seconds of consideration and Hen sigh-folded, mentioning to let go of a set.

"You folded a flush?" Mendoza asked Buonanno, who nodded and Hen didn't quite believe it.

Khatri Off to a Decent Start

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Bhavin Khatri checked a heads-up river of {k-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} and his opponent checked back. As the Brit didn't even show the cards yet, he won the pot uncontested as the opponent mucked the cards to forfeit the pot.

Khatri was then part of a four-way min-raised pot in which the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop was checked. He bet the {5-Clubs} turn for 800 and forced three folds.

Ivanov Still in the Mix After a Triple Up

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

After his earlier clash with Luc Bindel, Lyudmil Ivanov was all-in from the button and earned calls from Mounir Tajiou in the big blind as well as Danilo Velasevic from an early position.

Tajiou bet the tail end of the {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board and Velasevic raised to 4,500. Ivanov was already ready to leave and flashed his cards to Thomas Hueber before Tajiou called. Velasevic tabled the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for trip eights, Tajiou had the {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Ivanov survived with {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a straight.

Earlier on, Tajiou had lost a portion of his stack already in a hand that he recalled with improving on every street holding {a-}{3-} only to see Klas Kruger just call with the superior full house on the river.
