Lecoeuvre Eliminated After Running Into Levinskas' Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Laurynas Levinskas
Laurynas Levinskas

Markkos Ladev raised to 5,500 from middle position and Laurynas Levinskas called in middle position. Nicolas Lecoeuvre shoved all in over the top for around 40,000 chips. Ladev called, but then Levinskas made an iso shove and Ladev was forced to fold. That meant two players flipped over their cards.

Nicolas Lecoeuvre: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Laurynas Levinskas: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Levinskas' pocket aces held up and Lecoeuvre was eliminated from the tournament.

Aubakirov Turns the Tables on Guilbert

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Daniyar Aubakirov
Daniyar Aubakirov

When he's involved in a hand, Johan Guilbert tends to sit as still as possible as to not let his opponents pick up any information. This wasn't the case in a heads-up pot against Daniyar Aubakirov where Aubakirov moved all in on the board of {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Spades} to put the French content creator to the test for his stack of around 200,000.

Guilbert rubbed his head and studied the board as he tried to get some information out of Aubakirov, who took a page out of Guilbert's playbook by holding perfectly still throughout the hand.

"Will you show?" Guilbert asked as he stretched and stared down his opponent, who eventually called the clock.

Guilbert let the clock expire to kill his hand before sliding it into the muck.

Lodge Joins the Chip Leaders After Busting Hulme

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Harry Lodge
Harry Lodge

The seat of Andrew Hulme was empty and Harry Lodge was sitting behind a far bigger stack over on the other side of the table. According to French poker media and confirmed by Lodge himself, it was a duel of the Brits that ended up in favor of Lodge.

Hulme's raise from a middle position was called by Lodge in the big blind, who check-called a first bet on the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop. Another check-call on the {4-Hearts} turn led to a pot of around 90,000 and Lodge also checked the {4-} on the river.

Hulme then bet 68,000 only for Lodge to shove for another 110,000 effective on top of that with the covering stack. Hulme couldn't get away from {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and ended up second-best to the {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} of Lodge.

Grafton Doubles Just in Time for Dinner

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

In the penultimate hand of the level, PokerStars ambassador Sam Grafton was all-in for 56,500 and up against Marc Uzan. He had the best of it and little to fear in the following showdown.

Sam Grafton: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Marc Uzan: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop put the Brit on the verge of a double-up, which was confirmed with the {4-Spades} turn to make the {2-Clubs} river a formality.

"Can't get rid of you, Sam," Lawrence Whyte joked and some friendly banter between him and Grafton emerged thereafter.

Ensan Eliminated Before the Money

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

The camera crews rushed over to table three to film an all-in showdown in which Hossein Ensan was all-in before the flop for 49,000, getting looked up by Luigi D'Alterio from the very next seat with the far bigger stack.

Hossein Ensan: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Luigi D'Alterio: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The EPT and WSOP Main Event champion was in trouble and had a mountain to climb on the {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop. It was all over with the {2-Spades} turn and the {6-Clubs} river ended Ensan's run just shy of the money.

Three Clocks, Two Check-Raises & One Double for Guilbert

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Johan Guilbert opened to 8,000 from middle position and Daniyar Aubakirov three-bet to 17,000 from the hijack before Guilbert went deep in the tank when the action got back around. Someone eventually called clock and Guilbert called soon after.

Guilbert checked on the flop of {7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Aubakirov continued for 9,000. Guilbert sat perfectly still for over a minute before pushing out a stack of chips for a check-raise to 23,000. Aubakirov called.

The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and Guilbert's eyes fluttered behind his octagon sunglasses as he rested his hands in his lap and thought through a decision. A table mate again called the clock and Guilbert eventually checked as the seconds wound down.

Aubakirov bet 20,000 and, right on schedule, Guilbert went back into the tank. A table mate called the clock on Guilbert for the third time of the hand and Guilbert once again check-raised with a jam of 66,000. Aubakirov called with his bigger stack.

Johan Guilbert: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Daniyar Aubakirov: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Guilbert was ahead with a pair of tens and nothing changed on the {4-Spades} river to earn the French content creator the pot as others at the table looked ready to move onto the next hand.

Danchev Out Before the Money

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Dimitar Danchev
Dimitar Danchev

Over on table two, chip leader Rostyslav Sabishchenko applied pressure when he bet 85,000 on a completed board of {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Peter Moore was in the tank from one seat over on the button and sigh-folded.

Sabishchenko asked his opponent if he had two pair and Moore laughed. "we both had two pair, that was kinda obvious".

One hand later, Dimitar Danchev jammed for the last 46,000 from the cutoff and Konstantin Held called on the button.

Dimitar Danchev: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Konstantin Held: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop instantly gave Held the nut flush and Danchev needed running cards to survive. Not among those was the {3-Clubs} turn to leave Danchev drawing dead, making the {j-Clubs} river a formality.

"This is such a fucked up game," Moore grimaced.

Hand-for-Hand Continues As Moore Doubles

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Peter Moore
Peter Moore

Peter Moore was all in against Rostyslav Sabishchenko on the money bubble. Play was hand for hand so action was paused while all other hands were completed. The flop was {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. When the time came, players flipped over their cards.

Peter Moore: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Rostyslav Sabishchenko: {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Moore hand an overpair to the board with his queens and Sabishchenko had an open-ended straight draw. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river was the {2-Spades}. Moore's queens held and he doubled up.

Across the room, the second hand-for-hand all-in was dealt. One player had aces and the other had kings, but the cards ran out {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} making a straight on board. The pot was chopped and hand-for-hand play continues.

Gumz Wins Classic Flip Against Zarco to Set Up Stone Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Javier Zarco
Javier Zarco

Javier Zarco open-jammed for 73,000 from an early position and was called by Fabian Gumz in the big blind. As they had to wait for all other tables to conclude their action, the friendly banter between them started.

Gumz declared the upcoming showdown as "fake flip" while Zarco claimed "he made a bad call" towards the German. The banter went back and forth for more than five minutes during which Zarco explained that he stone-bubbled a tournament in Paris when he first visited the city and typically runs "really bad with this hand".

"And it will happen again," Gumz joked.

Zarco even took a video of the entire table for social media as the waiting game continued. Once it was their turn to reveal the cards, it was the most classic of coin flips indeed.

Javier Zarco: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Fabian Gumz: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop propelled Gumz into the lead and Zarco already vaulted out of his chair while tapping the felt. He found no help on the {6-Diamonds} turn and {7-Clubs} river to bust two spots away from the money.

"It is the revenge on Javi, we have a lot of history and he busted me in a lot of tournaments," Gumz concluded.
