Kasper Doubles Through Stok

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Henri Kasper
Henri Kasper

Following a raise to 65,000 from middle position, Henri Kasper moved all in for 165,000 from the small blind.

Stok made the call to put Kasper at risk.

Henri Kasper: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Sven Stok: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Kasper had his short stack in dominant and after the {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board failed to bring Stok a jack, Kasper had doubled up.

Wilf Adds More Chips

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Manig Loeser raised to 60,000 and was called by Johan Schultz-Pedersen from one seat over in the cutoff, Saar Wilf on the button then three-bet to 210,000. The initial raiser folded and Schultz-Pedersen called.

Heads-up to the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, Schultz-Pedersen checked and Wilf's bet of 130,000 won the pot.

One hand later, Florent Estegassy was in the big blind as the shortest stack on the table. It folded to Timo Kamphues in the small blind and the Frenchman joked "fold?!" to his neighbour. Kamphues moved all-in, and Estegassy checked his cards before sending them into the muck with a visible sigh.

"Eight three off, I can't ..." he mentioned in French.

Brink Bests Lodge

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Frederik Brink
Frederik Brink

Frederik Brink raised to 60,000 under the gun and was three-bet by Harry Lodge to 170,000 from the hijack. Brink called and the duo saw a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

Brink check-called a bet of 125,000 from Lodge and the players then saw the {a-Diamonds} turn which they both checked.

On the {9-Diamonds} river, Brink led out for 370,000 which had Lodge digging into his time bank cards.

After using a pair of extensions, Lodge chose to call. Brink showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for aces and sevens with a king kicker.

Lodge mucked his hand, sending a healthy pot across the table to Brink.

Schultz-Pedersen Further Increases Stack

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Johan Schultz-Pedersen was involved in a heads-up pot against Michael Rodrigues and earned a boost to his already impressive stack when he got pair off for 425,000 on the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} river. Schultz-Pedersen tabled the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a set and Rodrigues mucked.

Manig Loeser limped out of the small blind in the next hand and Schultz-Pedersen raised to 105,000 in the big blind for Loeser to call. The {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop was checked by Loeser, who then folded to another bet by Schultz-Pedersen.

Estegassy Felted by Rodrigues

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Florent Estegassy
Florent Estegassy

Florent Estegassy jammed a short of around 300,000 from under the gun and Michael Rodrigues ripped it in from the small blind with the covering stack.

Florent Estegassy: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Michael Rodrigues: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} runout left Estegassy drawing dead on the turn to reduce the field to the last 27 contenders.

Petrushevskii Doubles Through Latinois

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sergei Petrushevskii
Sergei Petrushevskii

Picking action up on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, Sergei Petrushevskii checked from the big blind and Malo Latinois bet 90,000.

Petrushevskii then moved all in for 310,000 and Latinois called.

Sergei Petrushevskii: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Malo Latinois: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Latinois was ahead with his top pair against his Russian opponent's two overcards and a gutshot, but the {j-Spades} immediately appeared on the turn to give Petrushevskii a superior pair, with the {k-Spades} completing the board for Petrushevskii to double through Latnois.

Kamphues Flipped Out by Schultz-Pedersen

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Timo Kamphues
Timo Kamphues

Johan Schultz-Pedersen raised it up from under the gun and quickly called when Timo Kamphues pushed all-in from the button as the shortest stack over on table one.

Timo Kamphues: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Johan Schultz-Pedersen: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop left Kamphues with a mere two outs which was then reduced to zero on the {k-Diamonds} turn, as Schultz-Pedersen locked up the elimination with a full house. A meaningless {q-Clubs} river ended his run in 27th place.

Heath's Top Pair Isn't Enough to Avoid Elimination

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

With 260,000 in the middle on a turn board of {6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, "all-in and call" was announced at table 4, where Ben Heath's last 285,000 chips were at risk in the small blind against Denzel Spekman in middle position.

Ben Heath: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Denzel Spekman: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Heath had top pair with his jack, but Spekman's overpair of aces had the Brit star in a world of trouble.

The dealer dropped the {2-Hearts} on the river, ending Heath's day in 26th place.

Hallaert Chips Up Against Schultz-Pedersen

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Kenny Hallaert had been the initial preflop raiser and he was called by Johan Schultz-Pedersen. The {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop saw Hallaert with a bet of 85,000 for Schultz-Pedersen to call.

That led them to the {j-Diamonds} turn on which Hallaert fired a second barrel for 180,000 as Schultz-Pedersen tossed in calling chips.

Following the {10-Clubs} river, Hallaert used one time bank extension before betting 350,000 with 280,000 behind. Schultz-Pedersen used one time bank extension himself and folded.

Paunescu Runs Into Kings

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Nicolae Paunescu
Nicolae Paunescu

Facing a bet of 45,000 by Frederik Brink on the {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Nicolae Paunescu opted to shove for around 850,000 and was instantly called by the EPT Madrid Main Event champion.

Nicolae Paunescu: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Frederik Brink: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The nut flush draw of the Romanian bricked on the {2-Spades} turn and {j-Clubs} river to reduce the field to the final 24 players. There will now be a brief break to redraw to the final three tables.
