Held Bounces Back With a Triple-Up

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Razvan Belea increased his stack with a flop bet win against Henri Kasper and so did Johan Schultz-Pedersen. Fast forward one further hand, table short stack Konstantin Held raised to 190,000 in the cutoff with 5,000 behind.

Kasper three-bet to 350,000 on the button and Brian Delaney then four-bet to 900,000 in the small blind. It folded back to Held, who inquired with the floor about using time bank extensions before he tossed in the last chip. Kasper shrugged and sent his cards into the muck.

Konstantin Held: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Brian Delaney: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The isolation of Delaney saved Held as the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} board missed both players. "Would you have won?" Kasper was asked and he nodded.

Astedt Pressures Bigot

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Niklas Astedt raised to 125,000 with {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} from the cutoff and Fabrice Bigot three-bet to 325,000 from the button with {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The blinds got out of the way and Astedt gave it a moment of thought before he shoved for over 1,800,000. Bigot quickly tossed his hand in the muck to give up the pot.

Wilf Takes With Preflop Shove

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Fabrice Bigot raised to 120,000 with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} in late position before Denzel Spekman three-bet to 300,000 with {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} on the button. Saar Wilf used a time bank with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} in the small blind and then he shoved for 1,325,000. That was too much for Bigot and Spekman so they folded and gave Wilf the pot.

Held Back In Business With Another Double

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Konstantin Held
Konstantin Held

Razvan Belea eyeballed the stack of Konstantin Held when it had folded to him in the big blind and then pushed all-in when the German revealed he held ten big blinds behind.

Held grasped his time banks and started using them with ten in total at his disposal on a pay jump. As he glanced over to the live-streamed feature table, he started some banter.

"I want to use this time to give you an important message," he commenced before cracking a smile. Among other persons, he thanked his seventh grade biology teacher and then looked over at the feature table again when the sixth time bank was used.

"What is going on there?" he asked and Mehdi Chaoui replied back "just call it off man" to which Held added "I will, in twenty seconds" which he then indeed did.

Konstantin Held: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Razvan Belea: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Held doubled for 645,000. "Sorry for all the drama," he apologised in table chat.

One hand later, Mathieu Di Meglio raised to 130,000 in the cutoff and Belea called on the button. Held three-bet to 1,325,000 with one T-25,000 chip behind and Di Meglio asked for an exact amount on the raise before letting go, Belea also quickly folded as well.

Belea Leaves Conan Short

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Razvan Balea raised to 120,000 in the hijack and got called by Arthur Conan in the big blind.

On the {5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} the players checked, but on the {7-Diamonds} turn, Conan led for 110,000 and got called by Belea.

The river brought the {9-Diamonds} and the short-stacked Conan bet 175,000, leaving himself just under 400,000 left.

Belea called and Conan showed {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a failed queen-high bluff, following a missed straight draw.

Belea showed {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a winning two pair, saying "It's a good thing you didn't jam, I would have called that too."

Delaney Beats Schultz-Pedersen in Showdown

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Brian Delaney raised to 125,000 on the button and was called by Johan Schultz-Pedersen in the big blind. The Dane opted to check-call the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop for 100,000 and the {a-Hearts} turn for 285,000. Both checked the {9-Diamonds} on the river for Schultz-Pedersen to show the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a flopped pair of tens.

Delaney had that beat with the {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} to win the pot.

Arthur Conan Eliminated in 14th Place (€59,300)

Arthur Conan
Arthur Conan

The next open raise to 125,000 by Brian Delaney in the cutoff then saw Arthur Conan shove for 350,000 on the button. Mathieu Di Meglio in the big blind moved all-in over the top and Delaney folded.

Arthur Conan: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Mathieu Di Meglio: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

Conan had the best of it going into the showdown but Di Meglio flopped the nut flush draw on {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}. Nothing changed with the {9-Clubs} turn and it was then the {7-Clubs} on the river that sealed Conan's fate in 14th place for €59,300.

Delaney Nearly Closes Gap to Schultz-Pedersen

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Brian Delaney raised it up to 125,000 and was called by Johan Schultz-Pedersen in the cutoff and Konstantin Held in the big blind. The three-way flop of {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} was checked to Delaney, who bet 150,000. Only Schultz-Pedersen called and that brought a heads-up turn of {j-Clubs}.

Delaney now increased his bet sizing to 1,250,000 and that forced out Schultz-Pedersen

Spekman bet 130,000 and Wilf called. The turn was {3-Clubs} and Spekman fired 350,000. Wilf counted out the chips to call and tossed in a time bank card to get more time. He eventually folded and Spekman took the pot.
