David Taborsky was already all in and at risk on the button for approximately 40,000 after getting into a preflop raising war with Cyril Mira, who was in the small blind and had Taborsky covered.
David Taborsky: A♣Q♥
Cyril Mira: A♦A♠
Taborsky was in massive need of help, but the 4♥8♥K♦6♥3♦ runout failed to improve Taborsky and he was eliminated late in the evening.
On a flop of 2♦6♣9♦ and with around 9,000 in the pot, Antonio Rodriguez bet 8,700 and was called by Silvio Costa.
Rodriguez checked his option on the 3♣ turn, prompting Costa to move all in for 15,500. After some thought, Rodriguez mucked his hand and Costa scooped the pot.
Ivan Banic opened the button and Alexander Baier defended the big blind.
When the K♥5♦3♣ flop hit the felt, Baier check-called a bet of 2,600.
The 3♦ paired the board on the turn, and Baier took the lead, firing 3,000. Banic called.
The A♣ landed on the river, and Baier continued for another bet of 5,000. Banic wasted no time, tossing in a chip to make the call. Baier tabled Q♣5♠, but it was no good as Banic tabled A♦J♥.
In a three-way pot, Jaromir Hanel checked from the hijack on a flop of 9♣10♠9♦. Pasquale Braco then put a bet of 3,700 into the pot of 11,000 chips.
Marcello Miniucchi then made an all-in raise to 17,400, which quickly forced Hanel out of the pot. Braco took some time before following suit, seeing Miniucchi climb back to a starting stack.
Stefan Raschbauer opened to 2,600 from the cutoff and was called by Scott Margereson in the big blind.
Margereson check-called a 5,200 bet from Raschbauer on the 3♠A♣7♣ flop and then both players checked on the 2♥ turn.
The 8♥ completed the board and Margereson led out for 3,500. Raschbauer tanked a bit and decided to raise to 12,600. Margereson responded by shoving, which was enough to put Raschbauer all in for his last 38,000. Raschbauer thought it over and stuck calling chips into the middle.
Margereson tabled 8♣5♣ for a pair of eights and Raschbauer turned over A♠9♠ for a pair of aces — good for the double up.
Dominik Siegl was in middle position when he moved all in for 11,900, then 2023 EPT Barcelona runner-up Joao Sydenstricker reshoved from the hijack. Everybody else folded.
Dominik Siegl: K♦10♠
Joao Sydenstricker: A♥10♣
The board of 3♦J♥9♥2♣6♥ was no help for Siegl, who was eliminated.
In a button versus big blind battle on a flop of J♥8♦2♣, Jyrki Lampinen check-raised all in for 19,000 facing a 7,000 bet from Adrian Ibanescu and was swiftly called.
Jyrki Lampinen 10x10x
Adrian Ibanescu AxAx
The 8♦ turn and 2♣ river provided no help for Lampinen, who was eliminated.
