Olszewski Need Not Fear

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Anatoly Korochenskiy raised to 2,400 from under the gun before the action folded to Hubert Olszewski in the big blind, who put in a three-bet to 10,000.

Korochenskiy then jammed, covering his opponent's 34,200 stack. Olszewski quickly tossed in a call and the cards were revealed.

Hubert Olszewski: KK
Anatoly Korochenskiy: JJ

"Aces?", Olszewski had asked before the showdown. However, his pocket kings were in premium shape to double him up, and they did just so when he ended up with a set on the 96K47 runout.

Korochenskiy, meanwhile, was left with 20 big blinds to try and spin up.

Straight for Papadopoulou

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a three-way flop of Q810 action was checked to Albert Gil who fired out a bet of 1,500. Samuel Bifarella called, before Anastasia Papadopoulou check-raised to 6,000. Gil called and Bifarella folded.

On the 7 turn Papadopoulou continued with her aggression, putting out a bet of 12,000. Gil pondered his options for a moment but mucked his hand.

After Bifarella inquired whether she had a straight, Papadopoulou revealed J9 for the flopped straight and raked in the pot.

"No Set" For Selinger

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action folded around to the blinds, where Julian Selinger called from the small blind and Jyrki Lampinen checked his option from the big blind.

Lampinen called a 1,200 bet from Selinger on the 239 flop and then Selinger checked on the 5 turn. Lampinen bet 2,500 and Selinger check-raised to 8,000 — sending Lampinen deep into the tank.

Lampinen eventually decided to let his hand go and Selinger offered to show one of his hole cards. Lampinen turned over the 3 and Selinger said, "No set," as he collected the pot.

On a completed board of Q975J, Dan Larsen tanked for about 30 seconds before deciding to bet 17,500 into the pot of about 18,000.

Baroudi's Min-Raise Spells His Demise

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Emile Baroudi and Miguel Abad were battling heads up over a 6,800-chip pot. Baroudi checked from the big blind on the 796A board before Abad made a bet of 3,000.

Baroudi clicked it back to 6,000 and Abad called. The 7 river then completed the board and Baroudi bet another 6,000.

It was Abad's turn to raise as he put in 24,000, just enough to cover his opponent's stack. A snap-call followed and Abad showed Baroudi K4 for a rivered flush.

Baroudi showed his 108 in frustration, showing that his flopped straight got cracked. After the stacks were counted, he left the tournament area while Abad virtually doubled up.

When the 5 fell on the turn, Hand took the lead, dropping 2,000 across the line. Betrix raised to 8,500 and Hand wasted little time making the call.

The 9 fell on the river and Hand led once again, this time for only 1,200. Betrix thought about it for about 30 seconds before letting it go.
