Degen Catches a Bluff

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 15,000 chips already in the pot, and a board that read 5KK8, Jonas Degen checked from early position to Jorge Postigo in the next seat over.

Postigo elected to bet 4,500 chips and Degen called after some thinking time.

The 7 river then fell and Degen checked once more. Postigo put his opponent all-in for 12,200 and Degen snap called.

Degen showed KQ for trip kings, and Postigo reluctantly showed his AJ for a bluff. Degen doubled up while Postigo was left with less than 15 big blinds.

Thiess Plays at Least Trips

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A flop of 668 was already on the table, along with a pot of 11,000 chips when Daniel Thiess made a bet of 7,500 from the small blind. Marin Prvan sat under the gun and made the call.

The 6 turn brought a third six on the table and Thiess continued his aggression with a bet of 13,000. This time, it was enough to let Prvan fold his hand, awarding the pot to Thiess.

Pilhofer Fills Up and Doubles Up

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A pot of 18,000 chips was in the middle when Istvan Pilhofer moved all in for 20,100 on a board of 84QA. Virgil Grecu made the call from under the gun, resulting in a heads up showdown.

Istvan Pilhofer: Q8
Virgil Grecu: AK

Grecu's pair needed to improve to win the pot, but the 8 river did the opposite. Pilhofer raked in a double with his full house, while Grecu was left with just a few big blinds.

Kratochvil Scores Double Knockout With Aces

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Vojtech Kratochvil opened to 1,600 from middle position and action folded to Tekeshi Takahashi in the small blind, who shoved for approximately 26,000. Just behind him, Fabian Rolli also shoved for a bit less and Kratochvil called to put both players at risk.

Fabian Rolli: AK
Tekeshi Takahashi: AK
Vojtech Kratochvil: AA

It was the best possible scenario for Kratochvil, who was an overwhelming favorite headed to the flop.

The 567 flop gave Rolli hope with a flush draw, but the 9 turn and 3 river bricked out and Kratochvil collected the rest of both Takahashi's and Rolli's chips.

Szymanski Busts Can

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Mihai Costiuc opened to 1,700 in middle position and was called by Mateusz Szymanski on the button and Adem Can in the big blind.

The 2710 flop was checked to Szymanski, who put out a bet of 2,000. Can called and Costiuc folded.

On the 5 turn Can check-jammed for 25,000 over Szymanski's bet of 6,000. Szymanski quickly called putting Can at risk.

Adem Can: K7
Mateusz Szymanski: K10

Szymanski was good with top pair and the Q river brought no help for Can, who was eliminated.
