Emanuel Flesner, who was under the gun, check-called a bet of 6,000 from Niclas Mjelstad, in middle position.

The 10♠ turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Mjelstad sized up to 21,000.

The K♦ river saw Flesner check again. Mjelstad thought for some time before moving all in, putting Flesner to the test for his remaining 40,000. Flesner snap-called. Mjelstad seemed deflated as he thought such a quick call had his set drawing dead, defeatedly tabling J♦J♥.

"You're good" Flesner announced as he showed 8♦8♥, before making his way to the rail.

Nguyen Hoai, in the small blind, found himself all in and at risk for his last 16,400, against Marko Ivkic, in the hijack.

The 5♠A♠A♥ gave Ivkic plenty of outs in the form of a flush draw, while the Q♥ turn improved his chances with a straight draw and counterfeit outs too. But it was the K♣ river that saw Ivkic take the lead and eliminate Hoai.

A player in early position opened to 2,500, Maciej Gut called to their direct left, as did the hijack. Mats Nylander squeezed to 9,000 from the cutoff and the original raiser folded. Gut elected to move all in for what looked to be 35,000, the hijack folded and Nylander called.

The board ran out 10♣J♥6♥K♣5♥; Nylander had Gut drawing dead on the turn as he made the nut straight, sending Gut to the rail.
