Martin Klotz: J9
Eduardo Lopes: Q10

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Amir Mozaffarian raised 180,000 in the hijack and only Marcus Borowski came along from the big blind.

The 3 river was checked by both players and Borowski tabled 55 before seeing the bad news as Mozaffarian showed J9 for a winning pair of jacks.

Forman Raises the River

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Action was heads up to the 106A flop, where Frederik Thiemer led out for 150,000 in early position. Miroslav Forman made the call in the hijack, before both players checked the 4 turn.

Thiemer slid out a bet of 100,000 on the 2 river, sending Forman into the tank. After taking some time, Forman announced a raise to 450,000.

Now it was Thiemer taking a moment, deciding to toss in the call. Forman showed QQ, taking down the pot as Thiemer mucked.

Antonino Venneri limped in early position before Pablo Silva raised to 300,000. The action folded back to Venneri who made the call.

When the K54 flop hit the felt, Venneri checked and Silva continued for 500,000. Venneri announced all-in and Silva snap-called his stack of roughly 2,100,000.

Pablo Silva: AA
Antonino Venneri: KQ

Venneri had flopped top pair of kings but was still behind to Silva's aces. The Q turn gave Venneri two pair though to take the lead as he cheered, and the 9 completed the board on the river.

Storaakers was looking to avoid an ace or king, which he did on the QQQ flop to find a full house. Improbably, the final Q in the deck hit the turn, leaving Higgins ahead before the 10 river completed the board and sent Storaakers to the rail.

Mitja Rudolf
Mitja Rudolf

El Yakoubi opened 1,200,000 in the cutoff, leaving just 95,000 behind, Mitja Rudolf was in the small blind and jammed his stack into the middle. The big blind folded and El Yakoubi called off the rest of his chips.

Mosjin El Yakoubi: A8
Mitja Rudolf: AQ

The QQ10 flop gave Rudolf trip queens and left El Yakoubi drawing thin. The A turn gave El Yakoubi some life to chop as he quietly called for an ace. However, the 8 river was no help as he exited the table.

Higgins Folds River

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

There was a huge pot of 2,200,000 in the middle and the board read 6J378 in a hand between Michel Karim and Simon Higgins.

On the river Karim had put out a bet of 2,100,000 and Higgins was deep in the tank. He thought for several minutes before muttering "you must have got there" before throwing his hand in the muck.

Higgins then enquired if his opponent could beat queens, but Karim remained silent as he raked in a huge pot.
