Amir Mozaffarian raised 180,000 in the hijack and only Marcus Borowski came along from the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of Q♠J♦4♥, and both players instantly checked to see the 6♦ turn. Borowski led out for 225,000 and Mozaffarian called.

The 3♠ river was checked by both players and Borowski tabled 5♠5♥ before seeing the bad news as Mozaffarian showed J♣9♣ for a winning pair of jacks.

Action was heads up to the 10♠6♦A♥ flop, where Frederik Thiemer led out for 150,000 in early position. Miroslav Forman made the call in the hijack, before both players checked the 4♠ turn.

Thiemer slid out a bet of 100,000 on the 2♥ river, sending Forman into the tank. After taking some time, Forman announced a raise to 450,000.

Now it was Thiemer taking a moment, deciding to toss in the call. Forman showed Q♠Q♥, taking down the pot as Thiemer mucked.

When the K♥5♦4♣ flop hit the felt, Venneri checked and Silva continued for 500,000. Venneri announced all-in and Silva snap-called his stack of roughly 2,100,000.

There was a huge pot of 2,200,000 in the middle and the board read 6♥J♦3♣7♣8♦ in a hand between Michel Karim and Simon Higgins.

On the river Karim had put out a bet of 2,100,000 and Higgins was deep in the tank. He thought for several minutes before muttering "you must have got there" before throwing his hand in the muck.

Higgins then enquired if his opponent could beat queens, but Karim remained silent as he raked in a huge pot.
