Masato Kashiwabara opened to 6,000 from the button and Tsugunari Toma defended his big blind.

The 654 flop checked through to the 7 turn. Toma checked and his opponent bet 5,000. Toma made it 20,000 and was called.

The 8 river put an eight-high straight on the board and Toma bet 37,000. Kashiwabara called after a few moments but mucked after Toma tabled his J9 for a nine-high straight.

At the same time on the other table, Teun Mulder opened to 6,000 first to act. Robbie Toan and Hwany Lee called from the button and big blind. The 874 flop checked through to the 6 turn. Lee led out for 17,000 and only Toan called. The 5 river put another eight-high straight on display. Lee then quickly check-called for 25,000.

Like Toma, Toan had a nine-high straight with his K9. Lee quickly mucked.

After the similar hands played out, Niklas Astedt reentered while Tamas Adamszki took his seat for the first time.
