Kakua Folds to the Pressure

Enrico Camosci raised to 2,000 from the button and both blinds Toni Kaukua and Motoyoshi Okamura called. The 2♣K♠6♣ flop was then checked by all players before Okamura fired 4,000 on the 9♥ turn.

Only Kaukua made the call, seeing a 7♠ river as a result. Okamura upped the ante to 15,000 and Kaukua let his hand go after some thinking time.

The dealer fanned a flop of 10♦5♥2♠ before Camosci led 2,500. Only Kaukua called.

The 5♦ fell on the turn, and Camosci check-called a bet of 8,000.

The 6♥ landed on the river, and both players checked. Camosci opened 7♥7♠. before tossing them into the muck as Kaukua showed 10♥9♥.

Andersson Ships on Kobayashi Twice

The board read A♣J♠9♠5♥6♣ and there was about 34,000 in the middle when Hirokazu Kobayashi checked in the small blind to Joakim Andersson who sat under the gun.

Andersson moved all in and Kobayashi used a time extension before folding his hand.

The very next hand it folded to Kobayashi who opened the action with a raise to 2,500 and yet again Andersson moved all in when it folded to him in the big blind. Kobayashi didn't need a time card but he folded once more.

Kobayashi and Shimizu Go For It All

Hirokazu Kobayashi raised to 2,500 as the first to act and Nozomu Shimizu put in a three-bet to 10,000 from the hijack.

The action folded back to Kobayashi, who quickly shoved, covering the stack of his fellow Japanese player.

A small sigh escaped from Shimizu before he put in a call for his tournament life.

The flop remained clean for Kobayashi's eights, but the K♦ turn saw Shimizu hit the better pair. Kobayashi requested an eight, but the deck must have misheard as the A♠ came on the river instead.

Shimizu doubled up to one and a half starting stacks while Kobayashi dived a bit under one.

Gutierrez Gets Three-Bet Twice in a Row

Elias Gutierrez opened 2,500 and Hirokazu Kobayashi three-bet to 9,000 on the button. Gutierrez called.

When the 8♥7♥6♥ flop hit the felt, Gutierrez check-folded to a bet of 7,000 from Kobayashi.

The following hand, Gutierrez opened 2,500 again, and was faced with a three-bet once again, this time it was Nozomu Shimizu putting in 9,000 on the button. Gutierrez mucked his hand, sending the pot to Shimizu.

The board came Q♣9♠6♥ and both players checked.

A A♦ turn led to both players once again checking.

The 4♦ river prompted more action. Shimizu bet 6,000 after it checked to him. Kobayashi called and mucked as he saw his opponent table A♠7♥ for top pair.

O'Dwyer Involved In Four-Bet Pot

Motoyoshi Okamura made a min-raise of 2,000 from the cutoff before Steve O'Dywer made it 8,000 to go from the button. The blinds got out of the way before Okamura came over the top with a reraise to 17,500, which O'Dwyer called.

On the 2♦A♠9♦ flop, Okamura continued with a bet of 8,000. O'Dwyer spent little time before tossing his cards to the muck, surrendering the pot to Okamura.

The dealer fanned a flop of 10♣6♥4♥, and Mustafov check-called a bet of 8,000 from Shimizu.

When the J♥ fell on the turn, Mustafov checked once again before Shimizu fired 30,000. Mustafov check-raised all in for 63,000 and Shimizu went into the tank for over a minute, using two time banks. Eventually, he made the fold.
