In a limped pot to the Q♠9♣3♣ flop, action checked through to the 8♠ turn. Padraig O'Neill had 8♣6♦ while Jon Kyte held 10♣2♦. The latter bet 1,000,000 from the big blind and O'Neill called with the best hand. The 10♥ river gave Kyte a better pair and he fired out another 1,400,000. O'Neill folded.
Kyte looked down at 10♠10♦ and made it 1,300,000. O'Neill defended with 5♦4♥. Kyte remained best on the 9♣6♥5♠ flop and continued for 2,100,000. O'Neill called. The turn was the A♥ and O'Neill checked. Kyte sized down to 1,200,000 and was called.
The 5♥ river gave O'Neill trips and he checked. Kyte fired 3,400,000 and was called. Kyte was stunned and saw the 16,600,000 pot go to his opponent.
