PokerStars has unveiled the full schedule for the 2024 European Poker Tour (EPT) season, which shows five destinations, including a return to EPT Paris and EPT Cyprus. Both Paris and Cyprus made their EPT debut in 2023, and they return for 2024, much to the delight of the players.
EPT Paris is the first stop of the 2024 European Poker Tour season. It takes place between February 14-25 at a new venue. The stunning Le Palais des Congres has a 120-table capacity, meaning there will be a more extensive schedule for the festival. Cedric Billot, Associate Director for Live Events and Operations, believes the new-look EPT Paris could be one of the largest EPT festivals on record.
Umberto Ruggeri opened to 175,000 with A♥10♦ from under the gun, and Adam Wagner called on the button with 6♥4♥.
The 5♠3♥2♥ flop saw Wagner make the nut-straight, as well as having the straight-flush draw. Ruggeri checked, and Wagner bet 200,000. Ruggeri responded with a mistimed raise to 725,000, and Wagner just called.
The 10♥ turn saw Ruggeri make top-top while Wagner improved to a flush. Action checked through to the J♦ river, and Ruggeri checked again. Wagner fired out 650,000. Ruggeri called after using a time bank, and the 3,300,000 pot went to the Czech national.
Umberto Ruggeri opened to 175,000 from early position and Govert Metaal shoved for his last 445,000 from the hijack. Action folded back around to Ruggeri, who called to put Metaal at risk.

Action folded around to the blinds, where Grigorii Rodin called from the small blind with the K♥ and Cheng Zhao checked his option from the big blind with 7♦4♠.
Zhao called an 80,000 bet from Rodin with his gutshot on the 3♦5♣Q♥ flop and 275,000 bet from Rodin on the A♥ turn.
The 3♥ completed the board and Rodin checked, prompting a 650,000 bluff from Zhao. Rodin folded and Zhao took down the pot.
Govert Metaal opened to 225,000 from early position with 10♥10♦ and Vincent Meli shoved for his last 990,000 from middle position. Action folded to Jon Kyte in the big blind, who also went all in having both players covered. Metaal got out of the way and a showdown was held.

Meli would need some help to stay alive, but the 7♦3♥9♣K♥9♠ runout kept Kyte best with his ladies and Meli was eliminated in ninth place.

O'Neill called a 225,000 bet from Wagner on the Q♠9♦3♠ flop and then both players checked on the K♥ turn.
Wagner led out for 300,000 with his top pair after the 6♦ completed the board and O'Neill let his hand go.
Grigorii Rodin opened to 160,000 on the button with 6♠5♣ and was called by Adam Wagner in the big blind with A♠6♥.
Wagner check-called a 215,000 bet from Rodin on the A♣4♠8♥ flop and a 375,000 bet from Rodin on the 2♣ turn.
The 9♣ completed the board and Wagner checked once more his top pair. Rodin shoved, which was enough to put Wagner all in for his last 740,000 and Wagner called after a bit of thought.
Rodin tabled his bluff and Wagner doubled up.
