Reard Can't Beat Macri's Top Pair

Alexandre Reard limped the small blind and Francesco Macri checked his option.

The dealer fanned a flop of J♥9♠7♦, and Reard led for 600,000. Macri called.

When the 3♦ hit the turn, Reard continued for 1,800,000, and Macri wasted no time making the call once again.

The 5♦ fell on the river, and both players tapped the table. Macri tabled J♦2♣ for top pair, and Reard mucked his hand.

When the A♦Q♥3♣ flop hit the felt, Macri led for 600,000 and Persson called.

When the J♣ fell on the turn, Macri continued for 1,000,000. Persson thought about it for a few seconds and released his hand.

Macri flashed the K♣ as he raked in the pot.

Martin Zamani opened in the cutoff and Parker Talbot three-bet jammed a stack of around 6,200,000 in the small blind. Zamani called with a bigger stack.

"How about one of those flops like ace-deuce-deuce black?" pleaded Talbot.

He wasn't far off as the flop landed A♠K♥2♠ to give him a virtual lock on the hand before the board finished out Q♦10♦.

"Ask and you shall receive!" he said.

The flop of 8♣J♣K♣ gave Talbot two pair but left him with plenty to dodge as Lin picked up an open-ended straight draw. However, the board finished out 4♥3♥ as Talbot earned another small double before heading to break.
