Geilich Catches Lightning to Double Through Zaskodny

Level 16 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Fikri Basaran opened to 11,500 from the cutoff and Lukas Zaskodny three-bet to 35,000 from the small blind. Ludovic Geilich shoved for 78,000 total from the big blind, which got a fold from Basaran, but a snap-call from Zaskodny.

Ludovic Geilich: AJAll in
Lukas Zaskodny: AA

It was the worst-possible scenario for Geilich, who would need some serious help to avoid elimination.

The Q106 flop offered a glimmer of hope to Geilich as he picked up a gutshot draw to Broadway.

The 5 turn was a brick, but the K river filled Geilich's draw to crack Zaskodny's aces for the dramatic double up.

Queens vs Queens vs Aces; Noran Gets Away

Level 16 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Thomas Haverstad
Thomas Haverstad

Thomas Haverstad opened 11,000 under the gun and Argyrios Mitakidis shoved 68,000 from a couple of spots to his left. Seeiar Noran was in the small blind and cold called before Haverstad put him to the test for all of his chips. After a tanking for sometime, Noran mucked his QQ face-up.

Argyrios Mitakidis: QQ All in
Thomas Haverstad: AA

It was bad news for Mitakidis as he saw there were no queens left in the deck. The AK5 flop improved Haverstad to top set, leaving Mitakidis needing runner-runner. The 3 sealed his fate as he stood up from the table and the 5 river was just a formality.

Valls Scores a Knockout Against Garcia

Level 16 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Carlos Garcia open-jammed for around 75,000 from under the gun. In middle position, Carles Valls opted to rejam as the covering stack while all subsequent action folded around.

Carlos Garcia: 88 All in
Carles Valls: QQ

Valls had Garcia in rough shape and it stayed that way on the KJ10 flop. Nothing changed as the board ran out J5 and Valls collected the remainder of Garcia's stack as he found a premium hand at the perfect time.

Kuzmanovic Doubles With Kings

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Loris Corbelli opened to 10,000 first to act and was three-bet to 35,000 by Matthieu Ferron from directly behind. Action folded to Boris Kuzmanovic in the cutoff, who went all in for slightly less. Corbelli tanked for a while, but eventually decided to let his hand go.

Boris Kuzmanovic: KKAll in
Matthieu Ferron: AK

Corbelli hit the table after seeing the 877 flop and said he folded pocket eights.

The 3 turn and 4 river kept Kuzmanovic's kings best and he doubled up.

Ferro Doubles Through Serra

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Sergi Serra opened to 9,000 from under the gun before Gianluca Ferro jammed for 64,500 from the cutoff. Serra confirmed the count before he made the call, and the cards hit their backs.

Gianluca Ferro: K10 All in
Sergi Serra: 99

It was a flip scenario and the AQ4 flop gave Ferro even more broadway outs. One of the outs came on the K turn and he held through the 3 river as Ferro found a double at the expense of Serra.

Rezaei Takes From Lin

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Rezaei opened to 8,000 from the hijack and then called after Ren Lin three-bet to 25,000 from the cutoff.

On the 875 flop, Rezaei checked to Lin who bet 15,000. Rezaei took some time before he announced a check-raise to 34,000. Lin slapped his wrist as he folded and told Rezaei to show a bluff.

Rezaei partially obliged as he showed a Kx while he dragged the pot.

Otlik Hero-Calls Incorrectly and Exits

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a completed board of Q945K with around 70,000 in the middle, Piotr Otlik checked from the big blind to Max Burney in early position. Burney emptied the clip and jammed for 49,000 effective to put Otlik at risk, who tanked for over two minutes before he decided to call it off.

Piotr Otlik: A9 All in
Max Burney: KK

Otlik hero-called with third pair but he was always behind the kings of Burney, who rivered a set for good measure as he raked in the remains of Otlik's chips.
