Martinez and Zhou Double Up
Pieter De Necker in the small blind and Albert Martinez in the big blind were on a turn of 2♣8♥10♣J♥. With 70,000 in the pot, De Necker bet 55,000 and Martinez called.
The 9♥ river completed the board and saw De Necker shove all in, covering Martinez's stack of 135,000. The latter did not think long before making the call for his tournament life and showed down 7♣4♣ for a straight.
De Necker could only table 9♣6♣ for a pair of nines, and was left with 50,000 chips, which he would lose soon after.
At another table, Quan Zhou had three-bet jammed all in for 96,000 on the button and was looked up by Jules Dickerson in the cutoff.
Quan Zhou: A♠2♠
Jules Dickerson: 8♥6♣
Zhou was the only one to make a pair on the 7♣J♦10♥2♣Q♥ board, raking in the double-up. Meanwhile, Aleksei Savenkov, Eduard Barsegian, and Elias Gutierrez departed from the tournament from adjacent tables.
