EPT Barcelona 2024

The PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona kicked off today at Casino Barcelona for the 20th Anniversary edition of the series. On the schedule this evening is the ever-popular €10,200 Mystery Bounty event, which is set to commence at 7 p.m. local time.

Of the €10,200 buy-in, €5,000 goes towards the Mystery Bounty prize pool. Bounties come into play on Level 13 of Day 2. The rest of the prize pool is reserved for regular payouts.

Last year, Mathias Duarte emerged as the last man standing in a star-studded field to earn the €104,500 top prize, the largest payout in Duarte's decade long poker career.

In the 2024 edition, players will begin with 100,000 chips and the blinds will start at 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante. Levels will be 30 minutes long, although most blinds on Day 1 will repeat for two levels to give players plenty of opportunity for action.

New for this year's EPT Barcelona is the introduction of shot clocks implemented from the start of the tournament, giving players 15-seconds to make their initial decision and 30-seconds for each decision thereafter.

Day 1 will play for 10 levels, with a 20-minute break after Level 5. Late registration will remain open until the start of Day 2.

PokerNews will be bringing live updates straight from the tournament floor as reporters follow the event from start to finish.
