Wilson Gets Paid with Boat

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Brock Wilson opened to 1,000 from early position and received calls from Farid Jattin in the cutoff, Giorgio Tonin in the small blind, and Andre Akkari in the big blind.

On the K54 flop, the action checked to Jattin who bet 2,300. Tonin quickly folded while Akkari deliberated for some time before folding. With the action back on Wilson, he put in a check-raise to 7,500 and Jattin called.

The 8 turn checked through to the 5 river which saw Wilson use a time bank before he put out a bet of 13,000. Jattin quickly called and he got the bad news as Wilson tabled 44 for a full house as he dragged a large pot.

Smbatyan Scores Knockout with Boat

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With two players seeing a board of 442 and 7,200 in the middle, Artyom Smbatyan checked from the small blind and Slade Fisher bet 3,500 from the big blind. Smbatyan check-raised to 8,000 and Fisher called.

Smbatyan continued with a bet of 4,500 on the 6 turn and Fisher moved all in for around 30,000. Smbatyan snap-called with a covering stack to put Fisher at risk.

Slade Fisher: Q5 All in
Artyom Smbatyan: 64

Fisher had turned a combo draw but was drawing dead against Smbatyan who had turned a full house. The 3 river changed nothing and Smbatyan took down a sizable early pot while Fisher made his exit from the tournament area.
