Malcolm Franchi
Malcolm Franchi

In a limped pot between the blinds, Malcolm Franchi bet 12,000 on a flop of 65K and Saymon Dias raised to 34,000. Franchi called and the Q fell on the turn.

Dias then bet 55,000 and Franchi again called. The river was the A and Dias moved all in for 307,000.

Franchi spent a few minutes in the tank as he leaned over the table staring across at Dias. He eventually called and Dias showed J8 for a bluff. Franchi turned over K10 for a pair of kings to win the massive pot and send Dias to the rail.

Hopkins Eliminates El Asmar; Short-Stacked Barer Survives

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Joshua Hopkins opened 30,000 in early position and the action folded to Ami Barer in the cutoff, who used multiple time banks before calling off his last 10,000. Both Hady El Asmar and Benjamin Pollak came along from the blinds as well.

The dealer fanned a flop of 873, and once checked to, Hopkins continued for 30,000. El Asmar called and Pollak mucked his hand.

The 4 fell on the turn and El Asmar check-called another bet, this time for 75,000.

When the J completed the board, El Asmar checked for a final time and Hopkins jammed all-in. El Asmar had 115,000 and took a few moments before slamming it across the line.

Hopkins tabled AA which was good against El Asmar's 55, but Barer took down the main pot with J8, making two pair.

How Many Kings Are in the Deck?

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jon Kyte raised to 50,000 under the gun before Ludovic Periaux moved all in for 160,000 in the hijack. Tanner Lefferts also put in his last 90,000 in the big blind and Kyte called to put both players at risk.

Tanner Lefferts: K5 All in
Ludovic Periaux: AJ All in
Jon Kyte: KQ

The flop came Q63 to give Kyte top pair, while Lefferts picked up a flush draw. The 10 turn gave Periaux a straight draw, and he hit one of the last kings in the deck on the K river to secure the double up off Kyte and send Lefferts to the rail.

"How a king? How many kings are there?" Kyte wondered as he paid off Periaux.

"Check how many kings there are. Three?" he joked with the dealer after the hand.
