Davies Gets Counterfeited to be the First Elimination
Level 4
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
The action was caught as Seth Davies, in the big blind, was all-in and at risk for his effective stack of 21,000 against Jean-Noel Thorel, in the small blind.
Seth Davies: 5♦5♣
Jean-Noel Thorel: Q♣9♥
Davies' pocket pair was out in front, but the 6♠7♥6♥7♣J♠ runout counterfeited his holding, making him the first causality of the tournament.
