Pommier Picks Off Murcia's Bluff

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On a flop of 477, Christophe Pommier bet 50,000 from the button and Remy Murcia check-raised to 140,000 from the big blind. Pommier called.

Murcia's bet of 140,000 got called by Pommier when the 6 appeared on the turn.

The 3 came on the river and after a bit of thinking, Murcia shoved for Pommier's remaining 525,000 and got snap-called by Pommier.

Murcia turned over J9 for just jack-high, as Pommier flipped up 87 for trip sevens and doubled up.

Murcia was left with just 150,000 and was eliminated a few hands later.

Sampirisi Leaves Sandberg Short

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With two players seeing a board of AKA Alex Sampirisi checked from the small blind and Marte Sandberg bet 35,000 from early position. Sampirisi clicked it to 80,000 and Sandberg moved all in, covering Sampirisi who had about 250,000 behind. Sampirisi made the call.

Alex Sampirisi: AJ All in
Marte Sandberg: KJ

Sandberg was drawing very close to dead, with running quad kings being her only means to win the pot. That did not happen when the rest of the board ran out 23 and Sampirisi scored a full double up while Sandberg was left short-stacked.

Dicu Spikes River to Triple Up; Pihela Takes a Chunk Out of Kvisthammar

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Peter Kvisthammar opened to 40,000 from under the gun, and was met with a three-bet jam to 145,000 by Marian Dicu in middle position.

Action folded to Igor Pihela in the cutoff, who four-bet jammed for 535,000. Action came back to Kvisthammar, who asked for a count, then called, covering both players.

Marian Dicu: A8 All in
Igor Pihela: 44 All in
Peter Kvisthammar: AK

Dicu was in trouble with a dominated ace, while Pihela was in decent shape, ahead with a pocket pair versus two sets of overcards, but his opponents sharing outs.

Kvisthammar looked set to take a monster pot after the KQ3 flop gave him top pair kings, but the 4 rolled off on the turn to give Pihela a set. It also provided Dicu with the nut flush draw.

There was another twist to come, as the 7 hit on the river to give Dicu the flush and the triple up, while Pihela consoled himself with taking a chunky 780,000 side pot.

Dicu indulged in some relatively understated celebrations after the river hit, perhaps understandable after he looked in terrible shape after the flop, and it also prompted some slight laughter from the rest of the table.

Kvisthammar wasn't happy, stating "I don't find that funny, by the way, his play".

Garry Smith: Ax9 All in
Jiaze Li: AK All in
