Cazacu just needed his Big Slick to hold up and the remaining players would all edge closer to the money. The 2♥2♣8♥ flop was great for Cazacu as he picked up a flush draw. The K♦ turn left Auzoux and Kudzmanas drawing dead, as the 10♥ fell on the river to give Cazacu a flush, and they were out of the event.

Ponakovs Damages Astedt in Cooler

Niklas Astedt opened to 13,000 in early position and was faced with a three-bet to 40,000 from Berthold Winz in the cutoff.

Aleksejs Ponakovs was in the small blind, and he produced a cold four-bet to 82,000. Action back to Astedt, who took some time to think before five-betting to 500,000, covering both of his opponents.

Winz quickly got out of the way but Ponakovs swiftly got the rest of his 248,000 total stack in the middle, with a smile towards Astedt.

In a huge cooler, Ponakovs had woken up with rockets and had Astedt's cowboys dominated. Astedt smiled and said, "I have a set of kings," hoping to spike his two-outer on the runout.

Unfortunately for him, the 9♣9♦7♠10♦6♠ runout did not change matters, and Ponakovs joins Astedt on a 500,000 plus stack.

Kamphues Flops a Set, Doubles Through Khorchidian

With almost 100,000 chips already in the pot on a board of 7♠6♥A♠Q♥, Lars Kamphues had checked it over to Nichan Khorchidian, who used some extra time to make a decision. After around a minute, Khorchidian shoved, and Kamphues quickly called for his remaining 150,000.

Khorchidian was talking to himself in his own language, seemingly frustrated that his two pair wasn't good. There was still a card to come, but the 8♠ was no help to Khorchidian, and Kamphues doubled up.

Akin Tuna raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Berthold Winz called in the cutoff before Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 45,000 on the button. When the action got back to Tuna, he used some extra time then called, and Winz also called.

The three went to a flop of J♠K♦J♦ where Tuna checked, and Winz shoved for just under 300,000. Ponakovs rechecked his cards before he folded, then Tuna asked for a count. After realizing the total number was 298,000, Tuna folded.

"My heart. I'm just an old man," said Winz in reference to his accelerated heartbeat during that hand.

Both players checked the A♠Q♠7♠ flop for the 10♥ to come on the turn. Song led out for 16,000 and Malec called.

Song shoved from Malec's remaining 88,000 upon seeing the 7♣ fall on the river. Malec burned through two of his time-banks before making the call.

Song showed K♥8♥ for a complete bluff, as Malec earned the double-up with A♣9♠ for a pair of aces.

Cazacu took the side pot and only lost one chip, while Qartomy ended up paying both opponents.

Aylar Lie had raised from the cutoff when Jinlong Hu three-bet his big blind to 25,000. Lie flat-called to the 3♣6♠6♥ flop, where she called Hu's continuation-bet of 15,000.

Hu slowed down on the J♦ turn and checked, after which he called Lie's bet of 45,000. The pair then checked through the 9♦ river. Hu revealed A♦K♠ for ace-high while Lie took the pot with her Q♥Q♣ for an overpair

The 8♣7♥3♦ flop was checked through. On the K♥ turn, Worthington-Leese check-called versus a bet of 5,000 from O'Dwyer.

The 6♦ river completed the board. Worthington-Leese checked once more, and O'Dwyer slid out a bet of 28,000. After taking a time bank, Worthington-Leese check-jammed for 91,500. O'Dwyer went into the tank, taking two time banks, before making the call.

Worthington-Leese tabled 8♠7♠ for the flopped two pair, while O'Dwyer had A♠K♦ for top pair kings, sending Worthington-Leese a big double-up.
