Alessandro Pichierri raised to 4,000 from early position and only Parham Ghadamgahi defended out of the big blind.
Both players checked a board of 9♣7♣9♥5♠5♥ all the way down to the river before Ghadamgahi bet 6,000. Pichierri thought it over briefly before flicking in the call. Ghadamgahi turned turned over A♠9♠ for a full house and Pichierri mucked his hand.
With the pot at around 28,000 and the flop showing 7♠9♣5♦, Ali Emre Ozcan, first to act, opted to check. Nebojsa Ankucic saw an opening and placed a bet of 11,000, which Ozcan called after some deliberation.
The K♠ appeared on the turn, and Ozcan checked once again. Ankucic continued his aggression with a 20,000 bet, but this time Ozcan responded by moving all in for 64,000. Feeling the pressure, Ankucic chose to muck his cards, handing the sizable pot over to Ozcan.
Hanouadi Del Pino and Ion Silviu Scobai got all in preflop, with Hamza Nasir making the call trying to bust them both.

Scobai was the shortest stack and had the chance to triple up with pocket kings. The board ran out A♦6♦7♠K♣J♦ which gave Scobai the best hand with a turned set of kings. Scobai tripled up, while Del Pino won the big side pot having hit an ace.
Nichan Khorchidian raised to 4,000 from the button, the small blind called, as did Mircea Flutur, in the big blind.
The 10♣K♦8♠ flop checked through to the 4♥ on the turn. The small blind checked and Flutur took the lead for 6,000. Khorchidian called and the small blind folded.
The 7♣ river saw Flutur over-bet the size of a pot with a healthy wager of 41,000. Khorchidian spent several minutes in the tank before folding. As Flutur raked in the pot, he flashed the 3♣ to the table.
Vadim Volkhonskiy shoved from under the gun for 18,000 and the action folded around to Sokratis Linaras in the cutoff, who moved all in for just under 40,000.

Linaras had his opponent pipped and found a good flop with 10♣2♦K♣ as his hand kept its lead. A 3♠ on the turn did bring a few chop possibilities, but the A♥ river meant Linaras' kicker played, sending Volkhonskiy to the rail.
Mohamadou Abilil opened to 4,000 and Berthold Winz called from the next seat before Mikhail Iakovlev shoved for around 20,000 from the blinds. Abilil called, and Winz folded.

Abilil certainly had the stack to afford the call and it looked to have paid off after the flop of 10♠3♣6♥ gave him a pair. A 7♠ on the turn changed nothing, and Iakovlev didn't improve on the 3♥ river, which meant he was eliminated.
Mats Ullereng got his last 30,000 into the middle preflop with Romain Retiere making the call to try and bust him.

Ullereng was poised to double up when the flop of 6♣A♦8♥ was spread out on the baize by the dealer. The 9♥ turn meant only a rivered queen would send Ullereng out the door. The Q♥ fell on the river to give Retiere the winner with two pair, and Ullereng was out.
Ramzi Karam raised from under the gun, receiving calls from Alexandr Khvan and Alexandre Reard, in the respective blinds.
The A♥4♥J♣ flop saw the action check to Karam, who continued for 4,500. Only Khvan called.
The 2♦ turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Karam sized up to 23,000.
The 9♣ river prompted Khvan to play out of flow, leading for a small wager of 10,000. Karam moved all in for Khvan's effective stack of approximately 60,000 and Khvan went deep into the tank, eventually making the call for his tournament life.

Khvan was on the wrong side of this cooler, sending him to the rail.
With around 15,000 in the pot on a board of 4♥6♣6♦5♣, Julien Sitbon checked and Umberto Ruggeri bet 6,000. Sitbon sat motionless for a while, then shoved for 18,000. Ruggeri called quickly.

Sitbon had turned a straight, which left Ruggeri drawing thin to win the pot. The Q♦ river was safe for Sitbon, which meant he doubled up, and Ruggeri took a small hit to his stack.
