When the Q♦ hit the turn, Konopelko fired a hefty 16,000. This time, instead of just calling, Binder shoved all in for 23,100. The unexpected move left Konopelko deep in thought, but after careful consideration, he decided to fold, handing Binder a solid boost to his stack.

A full board of K♠10♦10♥Q♠2♠ was showing with over 50,000 chips sitting in the middle when Aleksandr Timoshenko checked, and Stanislaw Grodek shoved. The two players had very similar stacks of just over 20,000 remaining, and after a while thinking, Timoshenko called .

Grodek then showed A♦J♦ for a straight, and Timoshenko's AxQ♣ went into the muck. The stacks were counted down and Grodek had slightly more, so Timoshenko was eliminated.
