Vasileios Panagiotidis raised to 40,000 on the button and was called by Ramez Haddad in the big blind, who only left himself 80,000 behind. The rest of the chips went in on the Q♠3♣A♠ flop, and the cards were tabled.

Haddad had flopped a set while Panagiotidis sat on two pair. The Greek could not improve on the 6♠10♠ runout and Haddad doubled up.
Leonid Logunov raised to 40,000 from middle position and Julien Sitbon called in the cutoff.
The A♥A♦J♣ flop slowed down Logunov with a check. Sitbon took the lead for 20,000 and Logunov called.
The 8♦ turn checked through to the 5♠ on the river. Logunov retook the lead for 80,000 and Sitbon went into the tank. After some time, Sitbon let his holding go.

The 8♥ river was checked down, after which Coelho showed K♠5♠ for king-high.
Mazerolle turned over the winner with 9♠9♦, and his pair of nines saw him eclipse the seven-figure mark.
At an adjacent table, Simeon Spasov got in his last 85,000 with 9x8x from under the gun against Abdullah Akbarpoor AxJx. Akbarpoor paired his ace on the flop and sent Spasov to the rail.
Henok Tekle opened under the gun to 40,000 before Vedat Mutlu three-bet to 60,000 from the button. Adrian Cazacu four-bet shoved with the covering stack out of the small blind, which forced a fold from Tekle, but a snap-call by Mutlu for his last 290,000.

It was a classic race until the dealer fanned out the flop of 8♠3♣J♥ to give Cazacu a set of eights. Mutlu could only win with runner-runner straight. The 10♠ hit the turn to provide Mutlu with a glimmer of hope, and when the Q♣ peeled of on the river to give him a straight, Mutlu high-fived his friends and doubled up.
Aleksandr Burov, in the hijack, found himself all in and at risk for his effective stack of 147,000 against Patrick Leonard, in the big blind.

The board ran out 5♣6♦2♦J♠8♠; Burov's premium holding held against Leonard to earn the full double up.
The action was picked up on a turn of 3♥6♠K♥Q♠. Umberto Ruggeri checked from the big blind to Adrian Cazacu in the cutoff. Cazacu put in 100,000 chips, which Ruggeri check-raised to 280,000, all of his chips.
Cazacu snap-called and a showdown was ordered.
