Voznesenskiy Stays Ahead to Bust Calderone

Following an open to 2,200, Nikita Voznesenskiy three-bet to 6,000 from late position, then Eros Calderone moved all in from the big blind for 24,800. The original raiser folded and Voznesenskiy went into the tank before making the call. Players flipped their cards, with Calderone at risk.

Voznesenskiy was already ahead and the board ran out 7♠4♥9♦Q♦3♥ and to give him a pair of queens on the turn. He held to win the pot, while Calderone was eliminated.

"It's a bounty, we need lots of chips," said Voznesenskiy as another player inquired as to whether he would have called against two players.

Vladimir Litasov opened to 2,500 from the cutoff. Timothy Friese called in the small blind before Maroun Jazzar raised to 6,500. Both players called.

Friese checked the 2♥4♣6♣ flop to Jazzar who bet 8,000. Litasov folded and Friese called. The A♦ was checked around on the turn as was the 9♦.

"Six" declared Friese as he showed 7♥6♥. Jazzar had the winner with A♥10♣.

The hand afterwards. Friese stacked Thomas Eychenne by hitting a set of nines against Eychenne's ace-queen.

Nikola Gasevic opened to 2,500 from the button. Kemal Aslan defended the big blind.

Aslan check-called a bet of 2,200 from Gasevic on the flop of Q♦6♠J♦. He check-called a bet of 7,200 on the 5♣ turn before leading out for 30,000 on the 4♠ river. Gasevic took a moment before calling.

Aslan showed 6♣4♦ for two pair and Gasevic mucked, before saying, "How can you call the turn man?"

A few hands later Gasevic hit the rail as he failed to spin up his remaining 15,000 or so.

Kostadinov Makes Straight, Gilbert Busts

Action was on the flop on a board of 2♦9♣K♦ and William Gilbert was all in with a short stack. He was called by Kostadin Kostadinov in early position and Alf Martinsson on the button.

Gilbert already looked like he wanted to leave as the turn was dealt the 10♦ and Kostadinov bet 22,000. Martinsson folded to leave two players to reveal their cards.

Gilbert had 7♥7♠ for a pair of sevens and Kostadinov had Q♦J♥ for a straight. The river was a blank and Kostadinov held to win the pot.

Following a late position open-raise to 2,500, Yakov Bar El three-bet to 5,500 from the button, then Georgy Komarov four-bet for 11,500 from the small blind. The original raiser folded and El called.

The flop came 10♦9♥4♥ and Komarov made a continuation bet of 5,000, which El called.

The turn was the 7♠ and Komarov bet 10,000. El had less than 10,000 and called all in. He showed K♦Q♥ for two overcards with a gutshot straight draw and Komarov turned over 9♦9♠ for a set of nines.

The river was the A♠ and Komarov held to win the pot, sending El to the exit.

The flop came 9♣2♥10♠, prompting both Moukawem and Dukic to check back. The turn was the 9♦ and Moukawem bet 10,000, which Dukic called.

The river was the Q♥ and Moukawem checked. Dukic bet 15,000 and Moukawem folded.

Dukic turned over A♠A♦ for a pair of aces, two pair with the nines on board. Lukovic's hand was quickly scooped into the muck by the dealer, but in any case he was eliminated from the tournament.
