Gala Takes Three-Bet Pot

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Niklas Astedt opened to 2,500 from the hijack, and received a call from Preben Stokkan in the cutoff. Domenico Gala was in the small blind, and he produced a three-bet to 10,000. Astedt got out of the way but Stokkan called.

On the KK4 flop, Gala continued with a bet of 5,100, and after some thought, Stokkan called.

The 3 rolled off on the turn, and Gala continued to fire, sliding out a bet of 7,000. After some consideration, Stokkan conceded the pot.

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Biao Ding
Biao Ding

On a flop of 8KJ, both Biao Ding and Mehmet Deniz had put in 11,000 to see the 6 drop on the turn, which went check-check.

The 7 landed on the river and after Deniz checked, Ding took some time to think then slid out a bet of 51,000. Deniz confirmed the count with the dealer and within around ten seconds, he had made the call.

Ding then showed 109 for a rivered straight, and Deniz mucked.

Shalamov Wins Big Pot With Queens

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Peter Tschernigg open-raised to 2,600 from early position and Mikhail Shalamov three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind, which Tschernigg called.

The flop came 358 and Shalamov made a continuation bet of 7,000. Tschernigg called and then both players checked it back on the 6 turn.

The river was the 8 and Shalamov put out a bet of 21,000. Tschernigg called and Shalamov turned over QQ for two pair, queens with the eights on board. Tschernigg mucked and Shalamov scooped a big pot.

Banic Banished to the Rail by Skrbic

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Milos Skrbic
Milos Skrbic

Milos Skrbic made it 2,400 from the hijack and Ivan Banic three-bet from the small blind to 12,000. When it got back to Skrbic, he shoved, and Banic snap-called for his stack of around 50,000.

Ivan Banic: AK All in
Milos Skrbic: QQ

It was an all-too-familiar flip which favored the pocket queens after the flop of 896 didn't offer much help to Banic. The J dropped on the turn, and the 8 river sealed Banic's elimination in the penultimate level of the day.

Reichenstein Spikes River to Bust Tepeh

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Vytautas Semaska opened to 2,400 from the cutoff, and was called by Uri Reichenstein on the button. Tjan Tepeh was in the small blind, and he three-bet jammed for 13,700.

Semaska quickly got out of the way, but after asking for a count, Reichenstein made the call with the covering stack.

Tjan Tepeh: AK All in
Uri Reichenstein: KQ

Tepeh had his opponent dominated, and seemed set for the double-up after the A94 flop gave him top pair.

However the 7 turn spelled danger, giving Reichenstein a flush draw, and sure enough the 9 rolled off on the river to give Reichenstein the flush and send Tepeh packing.

Tepeh didn't seem too devastated to see his day of poker come to an end, saying "I'm off to the party," as he headed off to the PokerStars Players Party, which is taking place this evening.

Grafton Grabs Pots from Palma and Troyanovskiy

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

First, it was Nick Palma and Sam Grafton squaring off. Palma opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 2,500, only to face a three-bet from Grafton, who made it 7,500. Palma wasn’t backing down and four-bet to 16,000, but Grafton pushed all in, forcing Palma to fold and concede the hand.

In the very next hand, Grafton took the initiative again, raising 2,500 from the hijack. This time, Vladimir Troyanovskiy defended his big blind and called.

The flop came down 9A8, and Troyanovskiy check-called Grafton’s 2,200 continuation bet.

When the A hit the turn, Troyanovskiy led out with a 5,000 bet, and Grafton called without hesitation.

On the 4 river, Troyanovskiy slowed down with a check, and Grafton responded by putting the pressure on with a hefty 25,000 bet, essentially putting Troyanovskiy’s tournament life on the line. After some thought, Troyanovskiy decided it wasn’t worth the risk and folded, giving Grafton another pot.

Rajkovic Scoops After Schottes Backs Down

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With around 8,700 in the pot and the flop showing 3Q9, both Adi Rajkovic in the small blind and Stephen Song in the big blind checked it over to Markus Schottes, who followed up with a bet of 3,600. Rajkovic made the call, while Song decided to fold.

The action slowed down on the 6 turn as both players checked.

On the A river, Rajkovic shifted gears, firing out a sizable bet of 13,400. Schottes took his time, carefully considering his next move, but ultimately decided to fold, allowing Rajkovic to scoop up the pot.

Schottes' King is Good

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Mahmut Sanli made it 3,000 to go from early position and Markus Schottes three-bet from the small blind to 11,000. Sanli called.

On the 3KJ flop, Schottes made a continuation-bet of 6,000, which Sanli quickly called.

Both then checked the 6 turn and 7 river with Schottes showing KQ for a pair of kings, which was good for the pot as Sanli mucked.
