Erik Bauer raised to 8,000 from under the gun and Diogo Coelho three-bet to 18,000 from the hijack. When it got back to Bauer, he called.
The flop came 3♠5♥8♣ where Bauer check-called a bet of 11,000 from Coelho to the 3♣ turn, which went check-check.
Both players checked again on the 10♦ river and Bauer showed A♥Q♣, but Coelho had the winner with A♠K♠.
Around 100,000 was in the middle already, in a hand between Ivan Zabiiakin in middle position and Zhen Chen in the big blind, with the completed board reading J♠K♥4♥J♦Q♥.
Chen checked, and Zabiiakin fired out a bet of 85,000. After quite some time in the tank, Chen made the call, but was shown the bad news when Zabiiakin tabled Q♠J♣ for the rivered full house, forcing Chen to muck.
Zabiiakin moved over the 900,000 mark.
Ren Lin raised to 8,000 under the gun. The action folded to Damir Zhugralin in the big blind, who three-bet to 35,000. Lin quickly shoved all in for 180,000 and was snapped off by Zhugralin.

Lin begged for a deuce before the 10♠3♣A♥ flop fell. The 4♠ turn changed his mind, and he started asking for a five instead. However, the river fell the 8♣, cementing Lin's exit from the tournament — the exception to the rule that "Deuces Never Looses."
Artem Kotkovskyi opened to 8,000 from under the gun and was called by Jakub Michalak from the cutoff. Aimar Gonzalez put in his last 14,000 from the big blind, prompting Kotkovskyi to jam for around 300,000. Michalak immediately exhaled, but opted to put in stack of around 200,000.

The three players all picked up a bit of something on the A♦J♣10♦ flop. Gonzalez had a straight and flush draw while Michalak had top two pair. Kotkovskyi, however, remained ahead with a set of tens.
The 8♦ turn gave Gonzalez the flush, with the Q♣ river giving him an unnecessary straight for the main pot. Kotkovskyi took the much bigger side pot and eliminated Michalak.
Day 2 of the EPT Cyprus Main Event will finish after the next three hands are dealt.
Francisco Caballo Pena got his stack of 75,000 in from the cutoff against Lucien Cohen in the big blind.

"I am the Ratman," Cohen screamed as loud as he could when the A♠K♥A♦ flop gave him a full house. The 4♦ turn locked up the pot for the Frenchman, and the A♣ river gave him quads as the cherry on top.
Caballo Pena was a good sport and the two players shook hands before Caballo Pena exited the tournament area as one of the final departures of Day 2.
In one of the final hands of the day, around 40,000 was in the middle on a completed board of J♦5♣4♦A♥J♣, in a hand between Sebastian Malec and Mateusz Wozniak, both in middle position.
Malec checked and Wozniak fired out a bet of 33,000. After some thought, Malec made the call, but was shown the bad news when Wozniak tabled A♦J♣ for the full house.
